I just got a hair cut at Nu'Me salon on Highland Ave in Ossining. Kim listened to my preferences and gave me a very good cut. I have curly hair and wear a mid length cut that requires virtually no work. The woman who washed my hair washed it as I requested....one shampooing and no over shampooing. The problem arose when I handed the owner Christina my gift certificate which I had won on the last Ossining Matters online auction ( a fund raiser for education in Ossining schools). Apparently Christina is the new owner since July '18. And the previous owner donated the $75 certificate to the auction. (Last Spring). So in essence, the new owner was not the donor and lost the fee for the cut since when my hair dresser explained the Ossining Matters auction to her, she graciously honored a certificate that was not hers. How can you not respect that! I recommend this salon and it's services....fair prices, convenient location and good people .

Too bad we can't give zero stars. The absolute worst customer service! I had a groupon for highlights but when I got there they said they don't advertise on that site and it must have been another stylist that has since left. Well that's not my problem. What kind of business doesn't know where they are advertised? He refused to honor my Groupon! Will never go back and would never recommend!

I've had two cut/color (and one round of highlights) with Kim at Nu'Me so far, and have been very happy. She's knowledgeable, friendly (as are the other folks in the salon), and has done very good work for me. I've got very short hair, and the first time I asked to come back for a fix (needed things trimmed up over my ears). She did it with a smile, and no charge. I agree with Ingrid... a better experience than the "high end" places. I'm happy to be working with a local business, and look forward to future visits. Next time, going to get my eyelashes dyed, with one of the owners doing the work.

I am so relieved and thrilled to have found Jose and his amazing team. No more jacked up prices from the over priced, dishonest and manipulative "high end" Ossining salons for me. I have received more compliments on my hair from both women and men since going to Nu me than I have from all of the price gouging cuts, colors and "conditioning" treatments that I had at the fancy downtown salons. Sorry to be so brutal, buts it's a hair cut, not a new car.
