Nail Story in Salisbury, MD

This was my first time getting my nails done and I had heard about different places, but nail story sounded good! I didn't really know what to expect, they were very professional, and very clean! Did a great job...didn't skip any steps. My nails still look great even after a week! Only thing was it took a little bit for them to understand what I wanted just due to limited English.

I had a great first experience and made an appointment to come back before I left. I think I've finally found my new routine nail spot!

I went in for a gel manicure and regular pedicure . The pedicure was not what I have been getting at all . It felt like a rush job and I didn't just walk in I had an appointment . I asked to have my nails square and well they aren't and my polish is chipping after just 3 days . ( Normally lasts for 2 wks or more ) Time for a new salon because they just ain't it . I work hard for my money and you want me to pay and tip for half ass job ! Sorry not sorry

Honestly, I hate leaving bad reviews on businesses, but as a paying consumer, I have a responsibility to do so. I visited this salon on 6/30/2023 to receive a dip powder nail application and a gel polish pedicure. This included the removal of the dip and gel application that I was currently wearing from my regular salon of choice. My nail tech's name was Coco. Overall, I will say that Coco was fairly polite, however, I was dissatisfied with her service. She seemed to rush my application and on several occasions throughout she nicked my cuticle with the nail drill and also drilled hard enough to cause pain on my natural nails. I actually have visible injury to 3 of my nail beds/cuticles as I type this review. I will also say the dip application process at this salon, in my opinion, is unsanitary. They don't scoop out an adequate amount of dip powder to use on each individual client and discard after the application. Instead, they dip your nail in the entire jar of the powder. My regular salon WOULD NEVER! Despite all of this and because I was pleased the Coco's ability to execute and even add detail to my design of choice. I planned to leave her a smaller tip than I usually would considering all the other factors of the appointment. As I paid for my service at the front, and handed the tip to the gentleman at the register. He asked about my service in which I explained it was only "ok because of all the times she nicked me causing injury". He then pointed to a small paper that have taped to the counter about "treat your technician nicely and tips between 15-20% are appreciated." I replied "yes, and I normally would however, I just told you she nicked me SEVERAL times." He proceeded to just look at me prompting me to say "if you don't want to give it to her, you can give it back." He handed the tip back to me and said "next time you go somewhere else." My response "don't worry I will." Bottom line, tips are recommended and not required. Much of the service industry today expects them but do not show appreciation. Unfortunately, I didn't get this man's name, otherwise it would have been mentioned. They have several technicians who work here, so I'm not telling anyone to not get serviced here. Some of them may actually be polite and perform quality work. Unfortunately, this was not my experience.

Fantastic!!!! Went there as a walk-in, and they were welcoming and friendly. The pedicure was the best I've had in years! Got their $50 "Signature" service, and it came with all the salt scrub, warm rocks, lotions and wraps, massage of legs and feet, sanding off of calluses, etc. Then my tech, Peter, did an excellent job with my actual toenails. They are beautiful. While drying the nails, I got a massage of my neck and shoulders. Kneaded out all the knots in my neck! I could have melted and slid off the chair. Felt like I'd been at a day spa. This was my first visit, but I will definitely be going back there from now on! Can't recommend it highly enough!
