Nail Max in Buffalo, NY

way over paid for what we got. I got a pedicure, paid extra for gel polish, love the color but the whole experience was not good. the tech was out of it...I laughed it off with her, but it wasn't professional. I have blood around 2 of my toes. meanwhile my daughter was getting an acrylic set. it looks absolutely terrible, she's 14 and can do better on her own at home. she came home and reshaped them, got the gel polish and topcoat off of her fingers, it was on her nail bed, under her nails and down the side of her nails. $146 total, totally not worth it. visit date 2/23/24 10:30 am.

Made appointment 2.5 weeks prior to my appointment, came in 5 min prior to my appointment with Liz. And she said she can't do it because she overbooked and she is behind, no phone call or anything, Truly unprofessional Reply to Mai Below; She did say she was behind and I stated I would wait and she said no she had another person after the person she was working on and I had to go to another tech, but I was u comfortable going to the other person because I was not confident in their ability. When I explained I would wait, she acted like she could not hear me and she ignored me, in fact I totally when I spoke to her, and she said I did not have an appointment, and showed her on my phone and business calendar that I did have an appointment, I remained calm and stated that I would just wait and explained I had an event and I was particular about who did my nails and was willing to wait. After 10 min of me waiting she said she was behind and could not take me. I actually talked to her and stated you can understand why I would be not happy, because I scheduled it and drive 20 min for the appointment just to be brushed off. She did not care because she was behind and by bumping me she would be back on track, unprofessional.

asked to get nails removed by soak off, they ripped them off with an old nail.. nails are now infected and sore

Sadly I have had one to many terrible experiences at nail max.... So many other nail salons in area you would think they would have much better customer service. Very difficult to speak to anyone. They are rude. When a mistake is made they make you feel like it's your fault. Communication needs to be stronger. Salon also feels and looks dirty. They are always running behind even with appointment. Do not recommend.

Just don't. I think they probably do a good job on their regulars but unfortunately I did not have a good experience. The staff was nice but the quality of work is so poor I can't not say something about it. Not only do my nails look terrible, I have cuts all over my fingers because they used the drill on my skin. The work was lazy and rushed. I got a dip manicure and the color was not pigmented enough for my liking. Instead of doing more layers to get the color right, they were more focused on getting me in and out quickly. I have genuinely never had such a poor job done on my nails before. They look TERRIBLE. I am too nice to correct people in person and still left a nice tip but when the dip service is $45 I should be getting better work. At least something that doesn't look like a toddler did it. Also! So confused how they preach cleanliness and make you spend an additional $3 on buffing and filing tools when they use clearly dirty drill bits on your nails? Then after my skin was cut open by the filing process they use some sort of alcohol polish type of thing to dry out the nails for the dip. That got into my cuts and burned soooooo bad. This isn't even to mention how bad my pedicure that I got is either. I have a a wavy toe nail now? Unbelievable lol. There are much better places around this area who care more about quality over a quick dollar. Only getting 2 stars because they were kind but I will advise every person I know from going to this place.
