Got a simply awesome men's haircut.  Done perfectly, friendly service -- straight razor shave for neck is my favorite thing!!!   Even straight razor shaved the sideburns.  Wandered into this place and wish it was on the mainland!!!!

I have gone to Lia for my eye lash extensions approx 8-10 times (3 times I went for a re-do or fix.) I book my appointments religiously exactly every two weeks and I book them one month in advance. Yesterday, I had an appointment at 12pm. I called the salon and spoke to Wena about changing it. She told me that I could change it to 4pm. I asked her to make sure and she said yes and then I asked her name so I knew who changed it just in case I showed up and there was a problem. So, I changed all my plans to go to my 4pm appointment. I get a call from Wena saying she made a mistake and that I cannot go in at 4pm but to come in at 5pm. I told her that's not possible because I needed to be back in Lahaina by 6pm. She got all defensive and upset which made me more upset. So I called her back and told her to see if Lia could come in half an hour earlier at 11:30 and I would do my regular scheduled appointment. Wena got upset. I tried texting Lia myself but until this minute, there is no response. So, I call to ask Wena if she got in touch with Lia but the man hairstylist answers. He's a little snippy with me but I ask him if he can call Lia to see if she can come in at 11:30am instead of 12pm. He says in a very sassy way that Lia is at home getting ready to come in. So I ask if she's coming in at 12 to do my appointment. He says he would call her to make sure but he's already not nice on the phone. I show up at at the salon at 12pm canceling all the arrangements I made earlier just to come to my 12pm original appointment. I walk in, say hi and the guy gives me a sassy look. I sit and wait. Nobody says anything. I notice Lia is not there. I ask, she's not here? Guy says, no. I get upset but I don't yell. I ask, she's not coming? Guy says, probably not. I say, you didn't call her? He says, I got busy your not the queen you know that we gotta jump to do everything you want. I get offended because I didn't know what made him say that. Then, I say but I thought you said she was getting ready so I came. He says, not everybody jumps to do what you want. His tone and hand movements are getting angry. I just sit there not wanting to cause a scene because 3 hairstylists all have clients sitting in their chairs. He says, she messed up the schedule, she says she's sorry. What you want her arm too? Unless you're going to Europe tonight you can come back tomorrow. I answer, I am. Guy says, then you better find another place. I was shocked again to hear such a thing come out of his mouth. I'm still sitting texting Lia to tell her I'm at her salon. No response. I get up with no scene. I say, thank you for you help and calmly walk out.

Imagine, day before my appointment I mentioned to my friend who also goes there for lashes that I was thinking of changing salons because Lia's hands smelled like smoke and the last two times I went my eyes were really itchy. I asked my friend if she could ask Lia to wash her hands before working on me. My friend told me that she knew what I was talking about because she was already thinking to tell her on her next appointment that she was sensitive to the smell of smoke and if she could wash her hands because her eyes were itchy too.

Anyway, I left the salon. Of course, I was upset. Who talks to their loyal customer like that?? I have brought my other friend there to do her lashes and always promote Lia. Well, I was forced to search the Internet for a new person and I ended up calling Salon 253. Fortunately, they had an opening. Omgosh, I am so grateful for this incident even if it was horrible how the gentleman spoke to me because I probably would not have tried a new person. I am happy with my new lashes. The technician doing my lashes explained what she was doing as she went along, made me comfortable and she washed her hands in the sink next to her before she worked on me.

YOU SHOULD NOT SPEAK TO A CUSTOMER THE WAY THAT THE HAIRSTYLIST SPOKE TO ME. We all have customers who upset us but we try to fix not add to the situation. Then, to top it off, I did not get a call from Lia to make a new appointment which makes me think she didn't care about my being her loyal customer. Maui is too small to treat people like this. Also, every lash technician has a different approach to styling your lashes and uses a different brand. Check out all your options before you decide. Once you commit, it gets expensive to put a new set vs just filling. That's one reason that I didn't change technicians as soon as the smoky smell offended me and my lashes was beginning to cause my eyes to itch. Imagine sitting almost two hours smelling that?

I have never written such a long review and I even waited until the next day to do it because I didn't want to write it while I was upset. It turned out well, I found a new salon and am happy with how my lashes came out AND THEY'RE NOT ITCHY!! I would not have ever known there was a difference if I wasn't forced to find someone else.

Wow, I was so impressed with how nice everyone was. I was just walking by & had to kill some time. I got a pedicure with a fancy design & thought it was great! I'll definitely go back.

Took a chance here for a pedicure and I have to say Taylor knows what she's doing. I always get the spa pedicure where ever I go because I like the foot massage but so far each place I've gone to SUCKED....except here. I got a good foot massage today! I like coming to this salon because it's 3 min. away from home and the staff are lovely and all speak English (that I can understand clearly). Love it love it love it! Mahalo Taylor for the great spa pedicure it was awesome!
