N T Nails in North Tonawanda, NY

I have been a long time client of NT Nails. I get a special spa pedicure each month and give Jennie (owner's wife) $20 tip. I arrived for appointment on Wednesday, parked in salon lot, took 4 steps and found myself on sheet of ice. I couldn't go forward or backwards. I am an elderly cancer patient who has trouble walking anyway. I had to flag down someone walking by for help. Once in salon, I explained my stress and worry about getting back into car. I asked the owner if he had salt he could throw down. He began yelling at me, saying it wasn't his problem but his landlord's problem. He preceded to list all his complaints against his landlord. I was in tears. He never offered to help me return to car after pedicure. A very nice woman felt so bad, she called her boyfriend who was a snow plow driver. He came to salon and salted from door to my car. God Bless him! The owner said nothing to him. I got pedicure, paid, gave $20 tip and left. I will never return.

It's simple. He's the best. Hung (the owner) has been doing my nails for YEARS and I'm extremely particular. He's truly the best, an awesome guy, and I'd highly recommend.

It was my first time visiting this salon. The male nail tech. did not ask me how the temperature of the water felt (which was not warm enough). The callus remover he used was a sponge like looking thing that I could have easily bought in a store and done myself. The tech was gentle with my big toes after telling him I have painful ingrown nails. The tech did not make any small talk with me at all. The massage chair was weak - barely felt any strength from it and assistance with remote was not offered.

I had a pedicure at NT Nails this afternoon. They did not greet me when I came in and told me to "sign in and complete that form" (which was a series of questions about COVID-related symptoms, after which they took my temperature). He told me to pick a color and I was seated for my pedicure. The gentleman who did my pedicure was professional but not friendly at all. He made me feel like he was doing me a favor by doing my pedicure. He did an OK job, although his method of trimming cuticles was a little barbaric. They sat me down at some dryers and all 3 workers were toward the back giving pedicures. When I stood up to pay and leave, the man who did my pedicure stood up quickly and rushed me like I was going to try to leave without paying. I won't be returning to NT Nails.

So I came into town last minute for a funeral and realized I did not bring any nail polish etc, and my dad being a single man in his 60s sure didn't have that stuff at his house. I only brought sandals to wear with my dress so I ran very quickly to the closest nail salon I could find at opening. I explained the situation and let them know I only had about 45 minutes to spare! They got me right in and had a great pedi! He didn't rush or anything either the toes looked fabulous and i was out of there in 35 minutes. The prices are decent too, only $27 for a pedi?! Thanks to the staff here for being understanding and helpful!
