I'm giving this place a 1 star because of how poor of a job they did on my hair, I went in asking to JUST cut my ends and keep the same hair style but instead he ruin the hairstyle I had and cut way more then just my ends. I would have been ok with the short hair but he completely butchered the hairstyle I had. My hair is naturally very curly so I didn't notice until I got home and straighten my hair. I've heard so many great reviews about this place, and the last time I cut my hair was back in my country so this was the first time I went for a haircut and it'll for sure be the last time.
I normally just lurk Yelp to get reviews but I had to leave a review for this salon because my experience with them was great. I had Jose as my stylist and he is so nice and talented. He made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. It's been a while since I had a hair cut so my hair has been dull and frizzy. In addition to that, my last stylist made my layers kind of clunky and awkward. Within a few minutes, Jose made my hair look and feel so much better. He also explained to me where my last stylist went wrong. I was very happy with how my hair looks now. I will definitely come back and recommend MJ's to anyone looking for a new stylist.
