Midtown Centre Oriental Nails in Gary, IN

Today I came to this place because it was recommended. However I refuse to ever visit NOR would I recommend anyone who value their health to go.

1. 1st time visitor from out of town.  

2.  Minster, asked what I wanted. I requested for a manicure and pedicure on me and a filled-in and pedicure for my aunt; then stated CASH only. (In the heart of Gary, cash only, really?).

3.  I had to leave and come back, of course.

4. This nail shop does not use the plastic in the tub.  So everyone bare feet is touching that basin and I can't verify if the basin was sanitize b4 hand.

5. I just got the Deluxe pedicure w/no chip, they wanted to ensure I know it was $15  bucks extra.

6. This old man finished me in less than 15 minutes. This was absolutely  the WORST pedicure I have EVER received.

7.  My aunt had to ask for them to redo the water as it was cold. Please stop calling people over unless you are READY to work on them. Ev1 do not like their feet soaking in those tubs.

8. The young man that finished working on her was getting ready to put USED flip flops on her feet ‍. She asked to see the bottom of the flip flop and it was black and used.  What kind of horse  is going on?

9.  The old man that worked on me called another client over to the chair. He never disinfected that tub nor the seat that I was sitting in. Even though she was getting a color change, that seat and basin should have been clean.

YOU GUYS SHOULD BE REPORT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, FOR SEVERAL VIOLATION IN THIS SHOP.  

This is unacceptable behavior.
This is unacceptable service.
This is unacceptable to the people of Gary.
Do this shop invest in our community at all?

If I could do ZERO STARS I WOULD !! September 17, 2021 3:17 pm I just WALKED OUT without paying  - I went in for a mani & pedi Okay cool I'm told to go sit in the last chair - no problem! So I sit down first off I should of left when i seen that that they don't line their foot baths with plastic - i felt a little uneasy - okay so I STILL PROCEED TO GIVE THEM MY  TIME. A OLDER man with a cap came & started my feet - he was rough he was hitting my legs to tell me to switch feet not only that this man was rude asf - he was using small pliers on my toes he didn't ask me if I wanted my toes nails cut I DIDNT WANT THEM CUT !!! he nipped me THREE TIMES the third time was it for me  idk what type of time they on but Im used to an upbeat and friendly service Im used to getting drinks access to magazines with nail and feet ideas You know ?! I will NEVER BE BACK -the workers are WATERED DOWN - & the atmosphere is depressing and stiff - good day and yes I walked out without paying cause thats ridiculous

I liked that they were able to take me last minute as I only had an hour to kill.. why not pamper myself.... I got a pedicure. It was a tad bit painful. The lady was a little rough. But the massage was dope.  I'm a nail technician myself, so I'll end up having to fix the polish myself. But I won't complain. Can't promise I'll be back bc I'm originally from Chicago... but maybe if they're a little gentler, I'll consider going back if I find myself in Gary again

If u could leave a a zero i would. My nails is dead. I got my nails done the day before Christmas . Christmas Day my nail was in so much pain.  It started to get swollen. I went to the nail shop as soon as they opened the day after Xmas to have the nail removed. After that my nail had puss coming out of it and it started to turn yellow. I had to go to the ER to have my finger slit on the side it needed to be drained it was so infected . It is now January 11, 2019 and my finger nail will soon fall all the way off it is no longer stuck to my skin.

Wait before I can get this one finger done again. worst nail experience ever . Customer service is HORRIBLE

I came here for a quick Mani Pedi and from my experience the service was great. The prices were affordable, and the nails came out great. The only downside was the wait I was told 10 minutes and waited 25. Although I understand that is something the store can not control. I highly recommend Paula, she is super friendly and makes sure the outcome is great.
