Emily T was passive aggressive and RUDE. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone nor will i return. Work on your customer service or leave! Will be contacting HR and someone higher up.

I have a regular hairstylist, not at this salon but somewhere else. I only came here because I needed a cut before I left and my regular stylist was unavailable.

This was a mistake. I should have just let my dead ends continue to grow. Things started off okay, but quickly fell apart. Checkin was Easy and efficient, but then the shampooing began. It was like being attacked with a cactus. Her fingers dug into my scalp and scratched the heck out of my skin. My whole body tensed to the point where my back actually started to hurt. Then the true "massage" began. It was like a hawk was doing its best to squeeze the life out of my head. I remember staring at the clock and thinking "well at this time tomorrow my head will certainly be bruised." As she wrapped the towel around my head, I sighed relief thinking, surely, surely it couldn't get worse, Right? WRONG. We proceeded back to the chair and she cut my hair. While my hair was wet, her aggressive touch was tolerable. But then the blow drying happened. It was like a tornado of Saharan desert wind, burning across my tender scalp. To make matters worse, the comb moving through my hair was like a kamikaze plane crash landing and ripping across my head. She was literally slapping my head with a comb before pulling it through my hair. I winced with each crash as my scalp hurt more and more. As she yanked through my hair, it had become tangled from the blow dryer, so at least the comb hurt all the way through my hair, ripping apart snarls she created. She was nice enough, but she didn't talk to me much--probably good because the only thing hiding my pain was a mask because of Covid. If I had spoken she certainly would have heard whimpers of pain in my voice. I wish I had had the courage to speak out against the pain, but my in-person introverted nature was in full effect, so I do take credit for some part of the pain. I really should have said something, but I was scared to since she was clearly so confident that I wasn't in my own personal hell. When it was finally done she had me look at my hair. It was a little uneven, but I was terrified to say anything for fear of more pain. At least when I went to pay it was 2/3 MORE than my usual hair place. I went home and my sister agrees that my ends are looking oddly textured. We're in agreement that it's not *bad* looking per se, but it definitely doesn't have that freshly cut radiance I've come to expect from my usual stylist. In my sisters words "the ends look sort of weirdly textured. What was she going for?" All I can think is: pain. She was going for pain.

The haircut ended a while ago, but my scalp continues to burn. I'm confident that under my brown hair lies a red, irritated mess, seriously thinking about bruising. It certainly feels like I was some kind of demon cat's scratching pad.

Like I said, the lady herself was very kind--a good person. I just hope she never comes near my head again. I've already scheduled my next appointment with my usual stylist so I never need to return.

I was in desperate need of a haircut. I looked like a surfer, for crying out loud. Much to my appeasement, they accepted walk-ins. Katherine did such a fantastic job. I was in and out in a half hour with all of my expectations fulfilled. I'll be back! Thanks Katherine!!!
