LOLA SALON in Cranford, NJ

Horrible experience twice. Last week I made an appt and they cancelled the last minute because the girl didn't make her flight home. I rescheduled to today at 3pm. Went there and waited till 3:15 but my hairdresser (Sade) stood me up. I will never make an appointment again at this place. also - I was the only one wearing a mask!

I'm new to the area and wanted to get my hair done after this long quarantine. The first two pictures is what I wanted again. The last pic is what I got I wanted a light bayalage to my hair and I wanted something minimal that compliments my dark hair. I know my hair is dark so when bleached it pulls orange. I know this. That's is why I wanted minimal. She gave me a ombré with ALOT of saturation on the bottom and of course it's orange. I go back because I didn't like it and I just told her if she could darken some pieces especially at the bottom to break up the bottom because it was so heavily saturated. She said sure but she would have to charge me for a blow out, I said no worries I'll blow it out when I get home I just need the color fixed. I went in and my hair not only looks exactly the same as the first time she did it so no fix at all she wanted to blow out a strand so I could see the color I said yeah sure. She proceeded with blow drying half my hair and goes okay, there's no need to check you out, did you park in the back? I was so stunned that she was really not going to finish my hair !??! she really let me leave with HALF my hair blown out and half soaking wet!? What kind shit is that? I knew I had to pay for a blow out but to my understanding you just wanted to blow dry a strand, not half my hair!? So when I saw her doing more of my hair I was thinking maybe she wants me to see the whole head, which I would do if I was hair dresser to keep a new client but she stoped after half. Why would you start a blow out and not finish it??? I said earlier I didn't want one I could have done it at home but if you wanted me to see the color I get it, just finish the blow out to keep the client. Never going back just on the customer service and the terrible color job just tops it off.

I love the Lola Salon! I've gotten two great haircuts here and was super happy both times. Friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend this place!

I got highlights and lowlights. I have long hair. It took 4 1/2 hours for color alone so I skipped the cut, blow dry and styling. Some highlights got way too light. I am getting my color fixed today at a different salon.

I was in a bit of a rush today so I didn't appreciate waiting 25 minutes after my appointment to get a blowout which I could of used to run other errands. Once I sat down I explained that I would like a lot of volume on the top, this shouldn't of been a problem because I have thick hair and volume is attainable with the right blowout techniques. My hair ended up being really flat on top which defeated the point of me getting it done at a salon to begin with. Overall sweet stylist but an average blow out experience.
