Laura Mac Salon in Allen, TX

Ok, I've been going to Laura for years. She is genuinely one of my favorite people. I went in today for a standard regular cut, but deep down, I wanted something different (I just didn't realize it). Y'all, she knows me, and I've been coming here for years -- she could have just given me color and trim, and I would have been on my way and happy. But she asked me questions like a new client all over again; we discussed my joys and concerns regarding my daily hair routine, and she was able to ascertain that it was time for a subtle change. I needed a new style and didn't know, but Laura did, and she gave me a gorgeous perfect cut to fit my current lifestyle. I couldn't be happier.

Laura Mac Salon is a beautiful salon with a staff of sweet, professional stylists. Laura the owner, listened to what I was needing for my frizzy hair; I just needed help. Laura did my hair beautifully and made my hair look so healthy with natural looking highlights and a sassy cut. While the salon can get busy, been there a few times, I never felt rushed and got the full hair attention I needed. Love, love my forever salon and giving this place 5 stars!!

Always so happy with my cut and color at Laura Mac Salon . Laura brings so much experience to our appointments and she always pays attention to whatever changes I want to make with each visit . The result is always exactly what I want . The ambiance in the salon is warm and friendly and I enjoy my 2 hours there every 4 weeks !

I just had my hair done (roots & weave) again by Kallie. She is excellent and works hard to ensure you're happy with the results. I am new to the area and it's always difficult to find a new person to do your hair. I've now been going to her for several months & she's a good one. I highly recommend her.

I was a new client at Laura Mac salon in November with very high hopes based on the reviews as I have had such a challenging 3 years trying to find a good hair salon in Rockwall enough to almost ruin my hair with one bad color job after the next. My color correction went very well but my first experience there was terrible in regards to customer service! ! My intention regarding posting this review is not to throw the Salon "under the bus " so to speak but more so in hopes to make whomever reading this a bit more aware of the issues that which are inevitably obvious to a new client and encourage awareness for improvement on their part! My second visit there which was in December. About nine days prior to my second appointment I called the salon to change my appointment time to 30 minutes later because I have decided not to get a haircut with my color. Everything was confirmed but when I showed up after driving 30 minutes to the salon I walked through the door and was met with a bit of coldness from Laura basically saying "I can't do your hair today your appointment was 30 minutes ago!" I was horrified because it was right before Christmas and I truly was desperate to get my roots done! But the worst part of this experience was explaining to her that the front desk girl did get the appointment time wrong and she completely turned it all on me!!!! Saying she was there and heard her which she clearly was not otherwise she would've told me not to come had she been sitting there ! As I was on my way I ask the front desk girl if it was absolutely OK for me to be 30 minutes late and she said sure come on in! It was a terrible mixup with them and I got the blame!!! SIDE NOTE: my first appointment with her ran 30 minutes late because of her previous client and throughout my entire appointment I was basically blamed for being the one that ran them late because of a consultation! I very happily defended myself four times telling both her and her assistant "no your previous client ran us late!" my whole point is there a zero breathing room for the client there! ZERO they basically scapegoated me as a client attempting to blame me for their disorganization and lack of professionalism! Laura told me to come back the next day STILL not bothering to take any blame for the front desk mix up. I was very kind and grateful mentioning that I would definitely blow dry of my own hair and thanked her and she said "there won't be any room for you to do that and I said so I'm supposed to leave with wet hair? She said she would just have to see since she was fitting me in! SIDE NOTE( the next day there was only one other stylist there occupying one station all the other stations were wide-open so I could've definitely blow dried my hair!!!!) The next day I was literally four minutes late due to shopping center and they put me in a state of panic basically threatening to cancel my appointment AGAIN! I have never ran so fast in my life I busted through the door in a state of panic and thank goodness I was able to get my roots done! Let's move onto the second issue, THEY ARE CLICKY with a capital K! The energy and that Salon is not warm and friendly and NOT professional and about the comfort or care of the clients in the least! In fact it was the most hurtful experience I have ever had with any salon in my entire life ! The way I was treated they're really hurt my feelings enough to actually stand my most recent appointment up which was ALSO the FIRST time I have ever done that in my life! JUST a side note: fI also found it very strange on my first visit there that her husband sat down next to me and visited with me almost the entire time I was getting my hair colored by her which made me feel quite uncomfortable and I thought was very odd!) Let me just add that something was done in regards to my root touchup that basically unwound for three hours she took to correct my color the prior month which was very hurtful to me! So I basically spend the holidays with the same color I was before it was never corrected in November! So whomever is reading this I HOPE it is read with humility as I have never been so mad at a hair salon in my entire life! Shame on you for how you all treated me! I was kind to you all! In closing new place which is located in Dallas in Highland Park and the level of class, attention, but MOST of all care for the clients feelings is amazing!
