I'm a new customer who has been going to L'Atelier for the past 18 months. The proprietors and stylists are creative AF, hilarious, and they are wizards with hair.
The vibrant decor of the salon matches the personalities there. I always look forward to my appointments as a relaxing respite where I know I will have a good time, or at least find myself laughing out loud, while my hair is perfected.
I was visiting Lake Tahoe for a couple days and decided I really needed a hair cut since it had been months since my last one. I found this salon on Yelp and left a message on Sunday night. The owner replied to my message early the next morning and I was able to get an appointment for that day! The salon was walking distance to where I was staying at Tahoe (located behind the Safeway) and was really cute inside, kind of a rustic modern decor. My stylist was Audrey, and she followed Covid safety protocols, by wearing a mask and disinfecting. I have to say that it felt so good to have my hair washed, cut, and blow dried. The price was $50 which is reasonable and comparable to most salons. I highly recommend this salon and Audrey did a fantastic job on my hair.
I simply cannot say enough about my experience last night with Michelle at L'Atelier. My hair has been a source of concern for about 2 years now, as it has been thinning and has become more and more fragile as the years have past, hence coloring it has been difficult and worrisome. I highlighted it until my former stylist did a strand test and my hair literally disintegrated! Needless to say I have been fairly sad about my hair since then and pretty much given up on ever having it look good again. Fast forward, I moved to NV a few months ago and needed to find a stylist. Based on reviews, I decided to try Michelle at L'Atelier in Zephyr Cove and I'm so glad I did. Michelle listened to my story and what I wanted with sensitivity and then applied her 20 years of experience to give me the best color and hair style I could have possibly asked for! I absolutely love my hair and will never go to anyone else! Michelle is wonderful! What a difference she has made. Hair is so important to how someone feels about how they look. I felt one way before going to Michelle and today I woke up feeling great about how I look. Don't even think twice, book your next hair color and or cut with her now!
