Kute Nail Spa in Columbia, SC

A clean peaceful atmosphere from the door is always nice. Greeted and seated almost immediately. Other patrons were there but not super packed. I enjoyed every minute of my mani and pedi. And was pleased with the results. Lots of options and upgrades available. I honestly am looking forward to visiting again. OH! Easy online appointment system, with quick confirmation.

I just moved to Columbia a few months ago and this is the second nail salon I have tried in this area and I loved it! I booked very late at night and my appointment was approved the following morning before they opened. I was immediately greeted when I entered and did not have to wait long. I was serviced by Tammy, who did a great job. I got a full acrylic set. I came with my nails bare and it only took 45 mins, just as the website stated it would. Tammy did a great job from start to finish. I love the shape of my nails and they look very natural. I've been getting acrylic nails for 10+ years and this is the best experience I've had as a first time customer.

I went to this salon to get dip polish.  A few days later the dip fell off one of the nails.  I went back to the salon and asked to have the nail fixed.  The rude man behind the counter pointed and told me to sit in the chairs by the wall.  I waited and watched time after time techs become available taking other customers.  I sat for over 30 minutes without any word or explanation when I would be helped. Finally I got up and left never to return.

I went there for the first time yesterday. My friend and I wanted pedicures so we were testing out some new places because she's from out of town. Everything was so nice. The pedicure was amazing. We got the deluxe. I am definitely coming back even though I live across town.

ZERO STARS!!!!!!!CONSUMER ALERT!!!  Saturday 30 Apr 2022, I entered this establishment to get my nails, toes and eyebrows done. The short man at the counter was rude upon my arrival when I asked him how long the wait time was.   I was then seated upon my arrival back into the salon with my purse. He seated me in a pedicure chair to begin working on my toes first.  I requested just a toe nail color change with gel polish and a design. Long story short, one of the older ladies final got to me. She asked me what I wanted I responded with a simple French style on my toes with cotton candy, she proceeded to point out that she could not do cotton candy because I have lines in my toe nails and they will show through the cotton candy. can you do a nude color and then the French tip, she said ok.  I didn't like it and asked for a pink color close to cotton candy but not as sheer but something that will still compliment my skintone. She tried to rush and pick a color that was a too dark pink shade and I didn't like that either.  I requested a nice line design to be done freehand by one of the nail techs, she said she couldn't do a design someone else does that I responded by letting her know I'll wait. She said it would be a few minutes for the other lady to get to me. I said ok. The next lady came over and proceeded to do a freehand design. However, she brought over black polish to do the design, and she never asked me if I wanted that color.  I asked for three colors and a metallic I believed would compliment the white base. I thought she understood the colors i asked for, one of them being yellow, she brought neon yellow. When i asked her to remove it and replace with a more sunshine yellow she seemed to not understand what i was asking due to the language barrier. I guess they got frustrated and kept talking about me amongst themselves in their native language. After I kept having to settle for things I didn't want, a young guy came over and tried to ask what I was wanting specifically and did I have a picture. Of course I didn't have a pic because I asked for a freehand design. I responded that i could show her a pic but it seems she may not understand according to how things were already going. The guy proceeded to tell me that I should have given her a pic at the beginning. I advised him that I asked for a freehand design and no pic should be required for that. But if thats something she couldn't do she should have let me know that before she started.  Once he walked away, he said someone else will come over and help me. I declined and let them know I will be leaving because I am not satisfied with their service nor their attitude.  The short man was there taking payments. I asked for my total he stated that I needed to pay full price($30) for gel polish on my toes not including the design. I advised him I didn't receive what I asked for and I will pay half to acknowledge the half of a job I received. He got upset and irrate, along  with the other young guy i spoke with before i got out the chair, and they both began yelling at me, in front of other customers, to "get out" and "go back to where I came from." ( whatever that means) which was highly unnecessary and uncalled for. He never apologized for the horrible service nor for how he nor any other staff member was treating me. I advised them that I will not pay for bad service nor will I pay or settle for something I don't like. Being a small business owner myself I don't feel that this situation was handled correctly. I will never return to that salon ever again and I advise everyone should take into account how racist they are but they will take your money with no problem!!!!
