KN Beauty Salon in Steamboat Springs, CO

I called the salon in the morning asking if they had availability at 3:30pm today. They said they did and confirmed the appointment on the phone. I showed up to the salon promptly on time and was not greeted at all. There were two nail techs currently giving services to others and one in the back watching TV (they did not even turn around to acknowledge me). I saw a message on their iPad up front to check in, so I did and received a receipt to give to a nail tech. I have now been sitting here for close to a half hour in their waiting area and have not even received a simple hello. Making an appointment was obviously pointless. No one has told me what to do, or even given me direction as to where to look for my color options (I always get gel and am not sure which section to choose from). No one has even acknowledged my presence; I feel like a ghost. I will be updating this review when (if ever) any of the employees speaks with me; hopefully the actual service will be much better than the initial reception when walking in. P.S. Last year I came here to get my nails done and similarly booked an appointment the morning of on the phone. When I arrived, they told me that they had forgotten that I had even made an appointment and asked for me to come back an hour later as they were too busy. I had to move dinner plans around in order to accommodate them and their schedule. They did offer me 15% off for the mistake, which I appreciated and is why I decided to come back this year to give them a second chance. Will be looking elsewhere for nail services in Steamboat in the future. UPDATE: after a half hour of waiting, I was helped by Eter, and he turned my entire experience around. He was fantastic and it was great to talk to him throughout the appointment. He apologized profusely for the wait as well. Thank you Eter for changing my mind!

The nails techs in this salon are extremely inexperienced and don't have a clue of how to do nails, with the exception of maybe the owner. I've had my nails done consistently for several years and never experienced anything like this. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else.

The owner and her team are true creative geniuses when it comes to nail design. Their skills and artistry surpass anything you'll find elsewhere. They have honed their craft to perfection and consistently deliver stunning and unique nail designs that leave customers in awe.

The owner did a great job! She is very friendly, very kind and funny! Great experiences.

The staff at this place is absolutely fantastic, and their service is top-notch. They went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. We were warmly welcomed and treated to a ride on luxurious bikes. The four of us had an incredible time and couldn't have been happier. It was an absolute blast!
