KD Nails in Blaine, MN

The nails turned out well but while I was getting my pedicure the faucet in the tub was broken, literally sprayed all over me and all over my shoes and she just kept going, not moving me to a different station (there was only one other person in the salon) and she didn't even apologize when she could clearly see that I was wet. Just got the customer service you'd expect when you go there to be pampered.

Seriously this place is a joke! Super dirty, and the dips chip within hours after getting put on. Spend a little more and go somewhere better! Not happy with them at all!

Went here last night with my mom. The people who work here are so nice and helpful. We were confused on the difference between gel and regular nail polish. I was also confused between dip and acrylics. They were able to tell us the difference and which ones that would last longer. They kept up conversations with us and made us feel at home. Also the end results were great. Will come back!

So friendly and great work! Whole family went for pedicures...gel for me, regular pedicure for husband, and flower pedicures for my two kids. Will definitely be back!

I went to KD Nails located at 9360 Baltimore St NE Suite 180, Blaine, MN 55449 on Monday, September 19, 2016. I requested a fill-in for my acrylic overlay with one nail repair. I arrived about 2pm and chose to wait 30 minutes for a second nail technician to arrive as the one and only technician was already working with a client on a full-set of nails. True to their excellent and responsive service in the past, the first technician immediately verified if I was willing to wait as her "boss" was due in any minute. I appreciated the feedback and sat down knowing that my previous services with this vendor were well worth the wait. Unfortunately, that's were things took a horrible turn for the worst and the previous three experiences I had with this vendor were negated by a series of actions that have left me injured, seeking medical attention and filing a BBB complaint! The second technician seems to have difficulty shaping my nails to a rounded corner and oval tip, which after many attempts and her asking, "are you satisfied now?" I finally surrendered and stated that it was okay (knowing I would go home and shape them further.) During one attempt to shape my nails with the drill she actually burned my OWN nail bed and pressed down really hard in her attempt to stop the bleeding and pain from the burn. I know, I should have gotten up then and left, but I kept telling myself," I've had such great service before and that this is going to be okay....; it wasn't." I originally picked out a gel polish that my boyfriend chose for me. Once notified that the color chosen was a gel, I asked for a regular color which could be matched to the original one chosen. The technician immediately went to retrieve the bottle, shaking and rolling it several times before she opened it and began to paint my nails. The color seemed to match perfectly, however the consistency looked like old glue. I watched in horror as she painted both my hands in a technique that could only be described as amateurish, with large "globs" in some spots and "clumps" in others on various nails. I immediately stated that this was NOT acceptable and that I refused to go out of there looking like this! In fact, I actually stated that my blind-boyfriend could have probably have painted my nails better. The technician gave many excuses, first stating that since I did not choose gel, the color would look different. Offended, that I was now being "hustled" for more money and they were not acknowledging the lack of professionalism or skill needed to do a fill-in and paint nails, I asked (merely to see what they would say, "what is the cost of the gel polish"; which I was told would be an additional $10.) The technician started to push back the skin around my nail bed and cuticle using her finger nails. At one point I cried out as her finger nail went under my thumb nail and actually cut me; of course she wasn't wearing gloves. Nearly two hours later, I was still in the nail shop but not finished. I had no other course, but to refuse the job and demand that my nails be repainted correctly. This technician called for the first technician to come over as her client was already gone. They IMMEDIATELY started speaking in another language, which further offended me as I was left thinking that perhaps they were talking about me, since they had no problem speaking English before I complained. When I left the vendor frustrated and angry for the disrespect, and poor service, I noticed that my thumb on my right hand was actually bleeding. I am awaiting a medical opinion to see exactly where I was cut and how deep. Despite having great service in the past and having a "three-chances, and then you're out rule," I will NOT be going back to KD Nails located at 9360 Baltimore St NE Suite 180, Blaine, MN 55449.
