After months and months of not being able to get my hair done due to Covid-19 restrictions, California finally re-opened salons {with very specific protocol} and I was anxious to book my appointment at Spruce. Since the salon is located in Downtown Redwood City, there will not be any free parking as everything is metered street parking - Bring some quarters. Spruce Salon is taking every Covid-19 precaution possible - Only a limited number of stylists are allowed to work at a time {with chairs more than 6 feet apart}, each stylist is only allow to service one client at a time, both the stylist and the client must wear a mask the entire time and a temperature check is given prior to entering the salon. All of these procedures made me feel super comfortable in being in a salon again. My husband has been going to Spruce for years for his haircuts and raved about Nicole, so I decided to give her a shot when going in for a full highlight and a haircut - I am beyond thrilled to have found Nicole - She is a Hair Genius! I am a very easy going person and my hair is the one thing that I can tend to get picky about so I usually go into a salon with several pictures of what I am looking for {and as someone who previously managed salons/spas for years and years, I know this can be a stylists nightmare} - Nicole was amazing and looked through all of my pictures and I put my trust in her to see my vision - She exceeded what I was looking for 10 fold! Not only is she a stellar stylist, but she is beyond friendly and really listens to the clients needs/wants. The pricing is very comparable to other salons in the area, and in my opinion, it was less than I was looking to spend for such a great experience. If you are in the market for a new do' - Nicole is your girl! She is in demand and books up fast so be sure to plan ahead.. it'll be worth your wait!

Katy at Spruce Salon in RWC is exceptional!!! I have searched high and low for a new stylist and thank goodness I found Katy!!! She is a kind, attentive and professional rockstar!!! My hair has not looked this good in years!! She knew just what to do!! I got a full highlight/root bump and I am extremely happy with the results!! I also felt extremely safe in the salon as it had just reopened!! Keep Katy on your list as one of the best!! Katy has been at the salon for over 10 years and it shows!! Lucky us!! I am so HAPPY! Spruce Salon has re-opened and Katy was able to get me in super quick. The new norm of social distancing, wearing a mask and all of the precautions the salon and stylist are taking makes you feel safe and comfortable getting back into the salon. Katy once again did an amazing job on my hair after months of not seeing her since the last time. My hair feels and looks so healthy and the color Katy did looks amazing. Katy is an awesome colorist and I can't recommend her enough. You will absolutely love her chill vibe!

I moved down to the Peninsula from SF and struggled for years to find someone who could do blonde highlights.  I met a few people whose hair I really admired and they all said I go to Keri at Spruce salon. I immediately booked an appointment and I have never looked back.  Keri is so amazing at knowing how to manage blonde highlights as well as cuts and it's nice to be able to get both done in one place.  Keri is also a joy to talk to and always has recommendations on new products to share.  I have been going to Keri for over a year now and am so happy I finally found someone so talented and fun to be around :)

I have very curly hair and I have been getting my hair colored and cut by Katy A. for a couple of years now. She does a great job every time. Very professional, punctual and efficient. Gets me in and out on time every appointment. She books up quickly so make advance appointments.
