Don't come here for a gel mani.

Let me explain. I came here because I just moved to town and saw that this salon had the "cnd" brand gel polish which I love because it doesn't damage your nails as much as the OPI brand does. I booked an appointment for my birthday to get some simple light pink nails.

I was greeted by the front staff when I arrived and was offered a beverage to drink. Everyone at the front was very friendly and kind.

Let me start by saying my nail tech was a very nice person, but she was a TERRIBLE nail tech. She was shaking the whole time. Her nails were so long she couldn't even paint my nails. Not to mention she left the coats uneven, bubbly, and overall MESSY. She finished up my mani and took me to the front to checkout. I showed the front desk girls my nails. They were in shock how terrible they looked. Just a simple polish should not have been that hard or looked that terrible. Not to mention she had filed my nails uneven, they were different shapes and lengths. I was beside myself.

There was another girl at the desk who was primarily a hair dresser but stated that she used to do nails here and would fix my nails for me. She did an Ok job.... She had to take off all my just-applied polish and trim them almost all the way down (my nails were so long but by the time I had left from two nail techs using me as their Guinea pig, I had nubs left).

Long story short, I left with the worse manicure I have ever had....no nails left, and literally cried the whole way home. I understand that people have to start somewhere and learn, but you shouldn't be advertising as a nail salon if this is an amateur nail salon. And I shouldn't be paying $60+ dollars for a gel mani I could have done better myself.

Jordyn has been doing my hair for almost a year now and I walk away absolutely in love with it every time! I get full blonde highlights and she tones it to the perfect color. She also educates me on how to keep my blonde hair healthy and beautiful. She's also just a lovely person to talk to which is good since my hair takes about 3 hours each time. She never rushes and always makes sure I'm happy! The salon itself is very clean and everyone is friendly.

Absolutely the most amazing 90 + mins of my life! I booked the Dr.B lifting and firming facial with dermaplaning w Katy S. Literally brought a tear to my eye with the care, precision and relaxation she gave me. My face is glowing and my engine is recharged.  She's a master. The rest of the staff and the surroundings were top notch. No need to go anywhere else. Thank you Katie!

I had a fantastic facial & dermaplaning with Katy this week. You can tell how much she enjoys her work. She's exceptional. I left completely relaxed and thrilled with how many skin looked and felt. Highly recommend her!

So disappointed. I've been going to J Michael's for a while, but my normal stylist stopped working there so I tried a new stylist. I went in with a slight balayage, my natural brown at my roots going into blonde. I asked for more of a balayage with brighter blonde on the bottom and keeping my dark roots. I left with my hair all one color. From the root to the base is the exact same color. It's an ok dirty blonde color if that's what you're going for, but it definitely was not what I asked for. I was told it would get better as it grew out. The stylist was super sweet, but I was not warned they could not achieve the look I desired. At least before they dyed my hair I had a subtle balayage. Now I just have one color. Now I am out $140, 4 hours of my time plus the time and money I'm going to have to pay someone on Monday to fix it. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to J Michael's.
