If you want to get a perm, I'd recommend this place. Angela is amazing! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she made quick work of it. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. My hair looks fantastic. I will definitely be returning for another.

Just had my haircut with Angela and i feel AMAZING and soooooo in love with my hair!!! At first, honestly, I was not sure about this place because of the newest review was like years ago but I decided to booked an appointment because someone recommended me to this place and my hair needed to get cut asap. I thank myself for choosing this place and big thank to Angela. And the price is the point! Affordable and reasonably! Also, the host (i guess) she shampooed my hair with perfect force, not too hard not too soft just perfect! I definitely recommend this place. I'll come back for sure!!!!

I visited J-Kim for a hairstyle for my engagement photoshoot. They were extremely accommodating and fit me in at the last minute. Right away, I was impressed by the way the stylists and assistant worked together seamlessly to move things along quickly, but without cutting corners. My stylist did an amazing job, taking great care with my damaged, bleached hair but still working efficiently to get me out of there on time. The style turned out better than I ever expected -- In fact, I think it's the best my hair has ever been styled! On top of that, it held all day, even through my very windy outdoor photoshoot, and dinner afterward! Don't be afraid to visit if you aren't Korean --- these stylists are very skilled and they can handle it! Thank you J-Kim!

I am surprised by the current 3-star rating. I think the reason for the rating is the long time customers like myself failed to even think about leaving an online review because the salon is always busy. I have been getting my hair done here (Angela specifically) for over 10 years and have recommended her to many of my friends over the years. She is talented and friendly. All staff work together and are efficient with customers' time as well. Everyone has been friendly. I have gotten my hair cut and colored here, but usually I come for my custom perm: straighten the top section (keep hair manageable) and beautiful big curls in the bottom section (at first they are smaller, tighter curls, but over time they become the bigger natural curls I love and last a long time). The perm type should be consulted on based on your hair type. It's not cheap especially when my hair is long, but worth every penny because it lasts a long time so that I only need to get it done once in a while (for perfect maintenance, I would say do it every 6 months, but I often go after a year because I get lazy...), and hair looks great without maintenance on my busy mornings, which is super important to me. Oh and they do accept tip on credit card payments unlike some spa places. I have never paid with cash.

Don't trust their judgement. The first time Angela fixed a bad haircut all right. So i went for the second time. Guess what? She gave the bad haircut I hated before. I will have to wait for my bangs and side hair to grow back. Happy scissors! Also she is very arrogant and not sweet. Not going back.
