Their new salon Unwynd, a lot of the ladies work at the new salon now in down town Elk Grove. I do not recommend Kenya for blonde highlights, please review pictures and our conversations. She did a horrible job and was rude and unprofessional and made it seem like it was my fault, I just wanted her to do a good job, she was very non confident from the start. Make sure you have a confident hair dresser.

JEN did an amazing job fixing my highlights and understanding my end results. She fit me right in around my crazy schedule and was enjoyable conversation. I'm picky and I left happy and looking forward to the next visit.

Do not waste your money here. I went for a consultation with Sahar. I told her I am normally a level 6, but the last person went a bit lighter (a 7) and I wanted a level 6 back on my hair. She complimented my hair, it was healthy, and beautiful. I go in for my appointment, just over 2 hours later I leave and go home, look in the mirror and I'm literally 2 entirely different colors. Level 6 from the top of my head to about the tips of my ears, then a very dark shade on the bottom half. I texted her a picture and tell her this needs to be fixed, now. I go back in, when she's ready - at 5:20P and spend another hour and a half. Upon arrivial, she admitted she shouldn't have used the darker color on the bottom half not knowing my hair. She stated she has "other" clients who's hair is more faded on the ends and need a darker shade. She said she shouldn't have done that with me. When I leave, my hair is a completely dark dark brown. I couldn't fuss too much as it was the day before Easter and I had 9 guests coming so I had to get going. I contacted her later and asked what color she used in my hair. At first she said "it was Redken" I said I didn't ask what brand, I asked what color. Then she said "well, you TOLD me you were a level 6." I said, and I am, but you're still not answering my question. Finally she said a level 5. I told her it was way too dark and I was trying to figure out the best way to get lighter without bleaching my hair. I then contacted the owner, Nicole to get some advice. After telling her what happened, she said she had no idea how to lighten it, she's not a hair dresser, just the owner. She said she'd talk to Sahar and get back with me. A few days passed and she finally texted me and said Sahar said she gave me exactly what I wanted, that my hair was so many different colors, dry and damaged, she had to do this. Then she went on to say she's not getting involved and I'd have to talk to Sahar directly. I sent them a group text calling Sahar out on her flat out lie and saying I would chalk it up as a bad experience. To get the last word in, Nicole "liked" my text. Sahar called me right away after the text and argued with me about getting Nicole involved, and that I am being difficult. She offered to put a glaze in my hair, but I told her I'd pass, knowing a glaze will "seal" in color. End result. My hair is way darker than I requested. They don't give a darn about it, blaming me. Terrible service and the owner doesn't care what is happening in her own business because she is "just the owner."

I get my hair done by Kenya and I have curly hair so there is no other person I trust with my curls! My hair always comes out perfect and healthy!

My daughter and I just got our hair cut by Sahar and we LOVE it. She did a fabulous job and understood exactly what we wanted. The salon itself is clean with just the right amount of chatter from clients and their stylists. Sahar understood that my daughter is shy and not a big talker and she was very sweet with her. I, however, am I big talker so she and I spent the entirety of my appointment talking. She makes her clients feel very comfortable and at ease. Honestly I'm baffled at how thick and full my hair looks now. She did an amazing job! We really LOVE our hair. Put it this way- my hair looked so good I had to go home and do my makeup just so my face would match before I ran my errands
