I went to Image Makers plenty of times for balayage, gloss, trims, and cuts. I went to a handful of their stylists and was extremely happy every time. I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone in Tuscaloosa. You really can't go wrong with any of the stylists there!
Going to the University of Alabama from Philadelphia, I was nervous about finding someone that was able to do what I wanted with my hair. Long story short, I'm struggling finding someone back home after graduation to do my hair as well as Tiffany did my extensions and Haley did my color. The two did such an amazing job with my hair during my time at school!
I do not recommend this salon. If you are a student and want to pay an exorbitant amount for a trim and highlights, go here. If you want to let them talk you into to "extras" that do nothing, go here. I don't mind paying top dollar for things but this place is nothing special. My hair color was not amazing for the price I paid. It was at best average. It's an average place with large prices, trying to act fancy. I won't go back as others have shared with me similar experiences at this salon. I have since found an amazing place not far from this salon. I don't wish to totally diss them or their business, but just not my cup of tea.......

I called to schedule and they got me in within an hour! I was not expecting a same day appointment. I saw Tiffany for highlights and a cut. She did an amazing job! She was very deliberate and thorough with my cut. She also helped me decide what to do with my hair since I didn't have time to find pics due to how fast they got me in. I'm really happy with the outcome and will be back!
Update: Tiffany wasn't available so I saw a different stylist. I won't name her. She was 15 minutes late to my appointment. Super nice girl, but I did not like my hair after. Went in for a touch up to my highlights and a cut. The highlights were so thin it did not look like I had done anything. It did not blend well and just looked like my roots. Cut was fine. I was disappointed she didn't style it before I left. Just blow dried it and sent me off. Everyone else was being styled and I expect it for a high end salon.
While I was under the dryer a different stylist was shampooing a customer. They talked about the real housewives and "titties" and Tamara kissing women. The stylist was the was vulgar (not so much the customer) considering there was a sweet older lady getting shampooed next to them.
It's too bad the atmosphere is juvenile and there is a lack of consitency across stylists.
Tiffany gets 5 stars and the rest of the salon gets 2 stars.
Not recommended for fellows with schedules. I had an appointment and when I arrived I was told to wait. I waited 20 minutes ... and nothing happens. So I left without having achieved anything.
