I asked my friend Carla where she had her hair balayage color done? She referred me to HQ Aveda at Wiregrass so I made an appt. Come to find out , I read about the founder while enjoying my hair wash founder Horst was a herbalist and wanted to offer a plant based color option for hair color. I was offered coffee after checking in and from there I was well taken care of by Ariana . She listened to what I was looking for and voila I left very happy with the results. What is balayage: Dye or lightener is usually painted on, starting midshaft and becoming denser as it moves down the section of hair to the ends.
Made an appt for a Keratin, I was asked to come in prior to my Sat June 12th 2pm w/Layla/Kayla; for a free consultation. Wednesday June 9th I was given a consultation by someone else; Keratin process was explained & I was told 2-2.50 solution may be used approx 2-2 1/2hrs & would cost about $215. (it was a bd gift)I agreed $ reconfirmed my appt. as I'm walking out the receptionist called me back and said I needed to leave a deposit of 15% or 50% (didn't really hear her clearly). I was taken back for several reasons- I've never heard of putting a deposit for a hair appt especially that I made a special trip from Bushnell to Wesley Chapel 1 hr drive just for a 15min consultation. 2nd nowhere on their website does it state a deposit requirement. During the consultation & going over everything I needed to know was there a deposit for the service mentioned. After speaking with 2 of hq salon personnel a manager came over to speak to me & she stated that any service of 3 hrs or more requires a deposit. I responded "well that exempts me since I was told 2-2 1:2hrs. The manager paused for a moment- decided I would still have to leave a deposit. I told the lady that I decided not to have this service at this time. I then reconfirmed another appt for someone else and canceled mine. The manager had an opportunity to do the right thing & just say there was a misunderstanding & just say we will see you Saturday. Saturday June 12th the other person who still had the appt & I reconfirmed- somehow was not showing that he had an appt. When he checked his phone he said to the receptionist it says 2pm June 12th with Layla/Kayla?- her response was Layla/Kayla is not here today.. Wow - I just sat there quietly in disbelief. Fortunately the same stylist who gave me the consultation was available. She was pleasant & gave him a great haircut. It's sad that the customer service was extremely poor by the front desk & managers. I retired & worked in the airline industry for over 27 yrs. have been to the best salons in Beverly Hills, Ca, Costa Mesa, Ca ,Manhattan,NY & several Aveda Salons Upland & have paid much less. I've never been asked for a deposit. if it was posted in there website. It was not I could have made a decision if I still wanted to go to this salon - they did not want my business & that's fine. But there are ways to treat potential customers & the hq salon Aveda at 28329 Paseo Dr Wesley Chapel, Fla - failed miserably. I give them a Zero. Obviously they will never get my business.
Everyone in here was very rude . I came in with a special needs child (who by law and CDC is not required to wear a mask) she was sitting quietly next to me on her iPad . Not talking moving just being extremely well behaved. The customer next to me threw a fit and the management made me move child around 3 different times because a customer was complaining. Not only did management belittle and embarrass my special needs child but they also lack complete sympathy and understanding. I do not recommend this place .
Hmm, I was running late and called 5 minutes late to say I was about 5 minutes away and they said that's fine. Pretty much walking in and they said they couldn't take me because still washing out someone else. Btw, often wait 5-10 minutes for appt when you do show up on time. Anyway, I had a 30 minute slot and they are still on the last client (during my time slot). Pretty much a weak excuse for being behind and cutting out a short men's haircut appointment. Whole family comes here but do not recommend you come here anymore. Adding insult, they can't process refund of credit card pre-payment as that's the online team and not the store team so more time wasted. Quite ridiculous and low quality service. Unfortunate to see and hope they learn from this review...always a fan of process improvement.
