Holiday Hair Salon in Shippensburg, PA

I stopped in on June 19 2023. I walked in and two girls were sitting there. One of the girls got up asked if I had an appointment. I asked if I needed one. She said they might be able to get me in. The other girl sat in the chair looking annoyed. The girl looked at the computer and said I'll see if one of the stylists will take you. She walked away and I stood there awkwardly for five minutes. I just turned around and went out the door. I'm sure to their relief. I went to another hair care facility and told them my experience. They chuckled and said, we hear those stories all the time. I'm a guy so I was done getting my hair cut under 10 minutes. I'd say when this place goes out of business, it's only because of them. They lost my business today and in the future.

I stopped in yesterday to get a haircut and my eyebrows waxed. I might as well have enlisted in the Marine Corps and had them shave my head while insulting me. The stylist barely said two words to me during my entire appointment, and it was a small fortune to get what poor service I received. I will not be going back.

My initial contact with the store was fine. The girl who answered the phone was very polite and was able to help me schedule a same day appointment for my 15-year-old daughter which was very much appreciated. However, what happened after with the same girl could've gone much better. It was five minutes past my appointment time, and I was stuck in the checkout line in the Walmart just down the sidewalk from the salon. Knowing we were late I called the salon and spoke to the same girl explaining my situation. She told me "As long as I was not more then 15 minutes late" that we would be able to still have our appointment. That was all she said. I arrived at the salon 10 minutes past my appointment time believing we were good. She began setting my daughter up for her haircut and I asked if she was going to wash her hair and she told me because we were late, she could not wash her hair. All she would be able to do is the haircut. All my daughter needed done was a small amount of evening out in the front and the tips of her ends trimmed off. My daughter left the salon literally in tears because she had cut so much off. It was a total rush job. At the end of which we still had 10 minutes left of our allotted appointment time. If our being late at all was going to be an issue, I would've been perfectly fine with rescheduling for the next available appointment rather than have it end up like this. To be fair to the salon, I have used them in past years and not had any problems.

Stopped off on my way through to the walmart Store next door. Very short wait time and a very good wash and cut Was taken care of by Chelsy Would definitely return if ever I'm up this way needing a hair cut. Price was good service was good. Don't bother going to the hair place in the Walmart store, you'll get looked after better here.
