Hair Designers Studios in Cary, NC

Came here after we moved close by. My elderly mom needed a haircut and we made an appointment with Wendy. Wendy did an amazing job on my mom's hair. She was very gentle and took her time. My mom is so happy with her cut and it still looks good after a few days. Wendy is also a very friendly and kind person which was important to me. The salon was comfortable and clean and we plan on coming back.

Be careful.  

Purchased a groupon for full highlights, haircut and blowout.  When I called I was initially scheduled with Brandi.  I asked the person on the phone about her skill level.  I was told to read their reviews.  None of the reviews were about Brandi, but all the reviews were good.  I arrive 20 minutes early for my appointment.  No one is there.  No problem.  They arrived shortly after.  I walked in and a gentlemen introduced himself and said my appointment was with him.  I said I was confused.  Brandi, who was standing behind the reception desk, told me that she is sorry but she doesn't do groupons.  Do I need to get into how painfully unprofessional it was to say this, or to surprise me with the switch?  I would not have scheduled with an older gentlemen.  My inner voice told me this wasn't going to go well.  Always listen to your inner voice.  He was lovely, but out of practice and his technique was out of date.  I know by the way the foils were being placed that I was going to have those calico stripes.  Unfortunately, they were in the front of my head.  In addition, a three inch long piece of hair was left hanging in the back of my head.  I had to do errands and couldn't cut it off until hours later.  

It took him so long to finish.  3 &1/2 hours with only me in the chair.  Such a nice guy but I never would have gone to him for my highlights.  I want someone on the cutting edge of techniques, etc.  For their pricing, everyone should be.  

I was looking for a nice place to go and unfortunately I didn't find it.  To throw away $115 even at a discount was such a waste.  I'll have to get this fixed somewhere else and spend twice as much.

beware! I explained exactly how I wanted it AND did not want it. Was she just not listening?  hair stylist snooty and indifferent. all the stylists are "independent contractors" you pay the contractor not the shop owner, have any problems with your cut or style? oh well! not recommended ever

My first time see a lady with a super fashion haircut in Market, she works in Rite Aid, and I asked where she did her, she said her neighbors Donnie at hair design, then I schedule appointment with Donnie, but the appointment was cancelled on the same day, because he was sick, so we rescheduled to another day, because I only want the one who is great. The day I did my hair cut was Sunny and warm. Donnie is very easy to talk with, and did my hair cut; I just realize American also have good hair designer!  There he is. Thanks Donnie. Will see you again!!

Honestly the worst cut I've had in a long time, especially when I explained exactly how I wanted it AND did not want it. Was she just not listening? I look like I have a mullet-even my friends agree its terrible-so if you're into that look come here. Maybe it's because I used a groupon. I will not be back and I cannot recommend. They get one star for easy booking.
