Hair Creations By Debbie in Santa Barbara, CA

Debbie was highly recommended to me by several people when I was looking for someone to style my daughter's hair for a dance. We first made an appointment for a haircut and color, then came back the next day for the style before the dance. I brought in pictures for each, and both the cut/color and style looked exactly like them when she was finished! I'm kind of a snob about hair coloring, and Debbie did a beautiful job on my daughter! Now the best part .... I am a parent volunteer at Dos Pueblos high school and the cochair for the after prom party. We also collect donations to be handed out to students before prom, to help them get ready - such as nails or make up or hair, etc. I contacted Debbie to see if she might be willing to donate a hairstyle for a student the day of the prom. Not only was she willing to donate her time and skill to make one lucky student very happy, but she offered to donate all of her remaining appointments for that day! 6 extremely excited students will have their hair professionally styled for prom because of Debbie's kindness. Not only is she truly talented, but she's a wonderful person as well!!

I was very pleased with my full highlights and hair cut, shaping. Debbie was great she listened to everything that I asked for and highlighted, washed, dried, flat iron and shaped my hair beautifully. I high recommend her for anyone who has curly hair.

Debbie is unprofessional and at her core a very mean person. I had an appointment with her today and because it is during covid, we schedule the appointment in a home I'm renting a room at. She offer to bring a chair to our appointment. But a few hours before the appointment she texted me saying that her boyfriend gave away the chair and that she doesn't have a chair. I don't own a chair. She could of had someone buy a cheap foldable chair or buy one herself before the appointment. I told her she was unprofessional because she told me on the day of the appointment and she had the time to fix the issue but didn't do so. I had to rearranged things to make this appointment happen. I wasted time, money, gas and my energy. She talks back to her customers and barely takes any accountability. She is very mean and tried to twisted the situation to make me feel like I was in the wrong. She kept saying that she was accommodating me but I don't see how. Since it's covid, she couldn't do my hair at the salon and she didn't have a place either so I had to offer her a place that I don't own because I had no other option. I was going to give her a place where she could do my hair so that she could make her money. A person who gives money doesn't usually make accommodations, the person who is receiving the money does. She kept saying and rubbing it on my face, that she is accommodating me. Like... I'm paying you money. You are not doing the work for free. She has a very bad attitude. Please save your time and work with PROFESSIONAL hairstylists.

Writing a review again after having my last mysteriously deleted... i was calling out this Salon like it was. The owner Debbie is rude and disrespectful, like the common thug. This Salon should be renamed Salon B for Butchery, just looks like a slaughter house. Very plain white walls and DRY WALL DUST coating the edges of the floor, Very unlike the photos shown on yelp. I deleted this app because i started receiving hate messages for my scathing and honest review. Was even reached out by the store owner Debbie. Instead of trying to make my experience better or trying to make an angry customer happy, i was bombarded with choice words and serious child like attitude from all types of people including Debbie. Very un-lady like very unprofessional. NOT WORTH YOUR TIME, super high prices and super long wait times as well just to have your hair "butchered".

Debbie is an amazing artist! Defiantly trust her with my hair! I have LONG thick curly hair :)
