Hair by Azi at Phoenix Salon in Lake Forest, CA

I've been going to Azi for years. She is a visionary. Sure, you can ask her to re-create photo, but you're wasting her talent. Where she shines is artistic interpretation. I like to give a few guides and let her do her magic. She is also realistic and not trying to do a money grab. She will tell you if what you want won't work on your hair, skin tone etc. She will offer you solutions and price points. I've always felt safe with Azi. Never walked out with a bad look. Trust the artist.

Located (currently) in a suite in a multi-suite complex, I met with Azi for a haircut and deep conditioning. In the scheduling process, we had to reschedule a few times as she was moving locations. I was happy to accommodate though it was odd that I was given short notice for something I expect is planned well in advance. I always ask for my hair to be cut long enough to fit into a ponytail and unfortunately it does not (still months later). As many other noted, I was charged extra. Not for length but for having curly hair as it would be more work to style. I wasn't aware that could be an extra charge as my hair barely skims my shoulders. She blew-dried my hair straight but it wasn't styled or treated with hot tools so I left looking like a puffy mushroom. I'd recommend for "easy" hair people to visit as you'll potentially leave happier.

If I could give a zero I would! I bought a full highlight and haircut off Groupon and then she wouldn't honor the price. I have hair that is 18 inches long and she only highlighted 3 inches of my hair from the scalp down, and then proceeded to charge me for LONG HAIR! When she didn't even process all my hair, also my hair is very thin. Next, she told me it would be the color of the picture I asked for and my hair was bright Orange and proceeded to tell me it looks better than before, and she needs to make money. Like I wasn't a paying customer?? Then my haircut was the easier hair cut ever, just a trim all one length. I had longer and random shorter pieces everywhere. Her attitude was so rude, defensive, and unprofessional. I walked out shocked and did not tip. Do not go here, she doesn't even offer the Groupon prices she makes you pay more once you get there. What a nightmare

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! She should not have a business! Asked for partial highlights (THANK GOD JT WASN'T FULL HIGHLIGHTS) and I walked away with ALL the foiled pieces of my hair burnt off! Of course I did not pay and left the salon in utter shock and tears! She was expecting me to tip her because she "used good products" and she claimed that I had box dye in my hair that's why may hair for burnt! I HAVE NEVER EVER had box dye on my hair. overall horrible!

I do not know what the bad reviews are about. I think Azi does a great job and listens. To the person 7-8 minutes late, it may delay another appointment. Also, regarding color, sometimes hair may not take it due to hormones or some type of estrogen in your body. I would highly recommend her.
