Great Clips in San Antonio, TX

So far... 2/3 three. Two 5 stars, one 1 star. I was really impressed the first time, for a franchise hair salon, the second time... was incredibly disappointed, and the third was an excellent recovery. In my final visit, I had explained that my previous haircut was not good at all, but the one before that was great. She listened with no comment and then asked if it was okay if she stepped away. She left for a moment and came back to tell me that the woman that had cut my hair the time before last was there, and that I could wait for her to do it. I loved that she made that offer without even requesting it, but decided that I would give someone else a chance (especially because she went and did that). She also accommodated for my daughter and was met with some challenges as a result, but I still walked away very satisfied. Between the three haircuts, I give it a three because of the one negative experience, but between the two positive experiences... it's 5/5. Just have to have the right person, but I don't know how to explain it without compromising privacy. I know who to ask for now though!

You know...I don't live in this area and I probably have 5 other Great Clips closer to my house, but the ladies here are Fantastic! I've never had a bad cut and I always feel Welcome! Y'all are Awesome!!! Thank You!

I know you have to be prepared for wait times so I checked in plenty early. I got to the store 45 min after check in for a 55 min wait. When I got there they had bumped so many people ahead of me that I was going to have to wait another hour! What's even the point of checking in early at that point? Useless app and unapologetic staff.

Amelia (not sure if her name is spelled with an a or e) did an amazing job! I don't trust many people with my hair, but we are new to the area and I desperately needed a haircut, so I took a chance and I'm so glad I did! She was also very friendly, and paid great attention to detail, which I really appreciated. Definitely coming back! My only complaint is the wait time, but I will try checking in online next time.

We didn't even get in. We put ourselves on the waitlist. It was 90min and at 30min left, we called about the status. We were told we weren't on the waitlist. We asked why and she said because we didn't show up at our time. I tried explaining and she didn't have it. I asked to speak to a manager and she also didn't want to hear it. She was extremely rude and wouldn't listen to what I was saying because she kept cutting me off. She kept trying to tell me it was my fault because I never showed up. I tried to tell her it wasn't our time and we never got an alert. I feel they took our names off the list and wouldn't admit it. We've been coming here since they opened. Never going back. Their rudeness and lack of customer service is not worth it. Please get rid of this "manager."
