Great Clips in Kailua, HI

Didn't get her name but she was an older local Asian lady. Poor customer service. I sensed it as soon as I sat. She asked me how much I wanted to cut off and I said about 1-2 inches however much you think I need to, and she said "so is it 1 or 2 because there's a big difference". I replied "1 1/2 inches then" . It was only about 10:30 in the morning they just opened and I could tell she wasn't happy.

Then she proceeded to comb my hair with her comb, I had a tangle in the back and she walked away to the back and came back with a wet brush and told me "try take your tangles out for me". I have never had to brush my own hair during a haircut, am I expecting to much? But the way she said it was just rude.

Long story short she ended up cutting about 2-3 inches off and I asked for face frame layers that were so blunt (doesn't blend in at all). I shouldn't expect much I know it's just great clips but I felt like she was struggling on the layers, maybe she needs more training? Or should've passed me on to someone who knows how. I've had such great experiences with the manager cutting my hair in the past, he was awesome and so pleasant.

Excellent stylist!! I really enjoyed the professional and pleasant experience. More than satisfied with my haircut. Finally found a shop I can rely on! So grateful for this hardworking team.

if i could give this place a 0 i would . Since nobody wants to listen to my haircut request i might as well go f myself. This place should be called outlandish cuts. Every time i've been here the barbers decide they want to do something different to my hair. I ask for a mid skin fade every time and somehow end up with the barber giving me a one guard to the top drop fade. It's embarrassing how many times i have to correct the barbers there. give me the clippers and i will probably do better .

Oh gosh. I don't know how you can look at the first picture of the last time we got a haircut and think this is how it is supposed to look. I showed her this picture several times before and during the haircut. I stopped the lady asking her if it was getting too short and she said "that's what I see in the picture, 1/2 inch on the top" I showed her that the hair is longer and being brushed over and she said "no it looks the same". Then walked over to the register to charge me asked if I needed a receipt then dismissively walked away. I still tipped her because I feel bad not to, but no thank you from her or anything. And when my son asked for a lollipop (they're kept behind the counter) she completely ignored him. He had to ask the other lady working there, who kindly offered him one.

Donna gave me my perfect haircut. She looked up my phone number and recreated  the haircut I expect  and am very happy with. Thanks Donna.
