Fagone & Company Hair Salon in Marblehead, MA

Rich fagone just gave me the best cut and color I've ever had. Rich spent 2 and a half hours fixing my color and giving me a great hair cut my husband said I look ten years younger also Thank you to your receptionist Julia she couldn't have been nicer to me when I booked my appointment I will recommend you every time I get a complement on my hair ( which should be often)

I was recommended by a friend of mine to go see Rich at Fagone and Company Hair Salon. My color and cut were in really bad shape from the previous salon I was going to. He really took the time to listen to me about what I was trying to achieve with my hair. After he fixed my color and cut, He recommended a keratin treatment, and my hair has never felt so amazing. I was extremely happy with my experience, and I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is looking to make a change.

My daughter and I had been to this salon quite some time ago and the experience was simply mediocre. Out of desperation and hearing it was under new ownership I attempted to have a consult with the new owner. Not only was he combative, he was incapable of even looking at the pictures shown to him and translating what I wanted done to my hair. After being brow beaten and told what a wealth of experience he had, all the while he was not listening at all only speaking, I told him I did not think going forward was a good idea...he then imploded and lost it, ranting "everybody else is wrong but you right"!!? His bizarre behavior was the most unprofessional and stupid behavior that I have ever seen a business owner engage in within their own shop. I knew when I called that I should have followed my instincts and not booked the cut as they had openings that very day, the next day, and the day after that......no good stylist or salon for that matter is wide open. They would typically be booked at least a week out. There was one customer in the place as he was busy driving out the new one....skip this relic of a salon.

My regular stylist Jason Ring recently joined forces with Rich at John Fagone. I am very happy with the cut and the service. Will Definitely go back.

I am not giving this one star because of all of the staff members, or even the job they do as stylists. I am because of the managment, and their poor treatment to the rest of the staff. I have never seen employees treated so atrociously in my life. I once overheard one of their head stylists' "Dante" calling a receptionist "too dumb." I've see employees cry, and I've seen a turnover rate higher than at a fast food restaurant. I prefer to not give my money (and you're shelling out quite a bit at this salon) to people that show character like that. The atmosphere in there may appear to be a luxurious, charming salon set in the heart of a quaint, affluent town, but along with that comes pretentious owners that simply do not posses the class they are trying to emanate.
