Dolce Salon in South Elgin, IL

It had been a year since I got my hair cut. I went to a place in Naperville previously (lumos nox) and had a TERRIBLE experience. The worst haircut I've had in a long time. So I decided to check Dolce salon out because it's close and the reviews were good. Shaine did so wonderfully. She was kind. She did it quickly. And it's such a good haircut. And it was just a trim, and fixing up the mess that I had from lumos nox. I'll be going back, and I'll be going back to see shaine for my haircuts too. She was great. And the place was so clean and nice. 10/10

I love this salon. Crystal is my stylist and she's brilliant with my pixie silver hair. Her razor cuts are amazing and she's fun to be around!

Nancy is amazing! Went to see Nancy for a last minute much needed haircut and style after a friend of mine had her hair cut by Nancy. I love her! I have very thick, naturally curly hair. Nancy "gets" my hair and knows exactly how to cut and style curly hair. She immediately knew what I needed based on my hair and curl type and thickness and the shape I was looking for. Wonderful experience and awesome cut! I love it and have gotten many compliments on it! Trying to explain why to not cut too short, where to bevel the ends, or worries about pyramiding as it grows out to other stylists was so draining on me. I feel like myself again with this cut --- Thank You so much Nancy!!!!

The management already addressed the issue and were great. I came in March 2018 to get my hair done with Krystal. I had already told her previously I had damaged hair I had been working in keeping healthy and growing out. I also told her going to hair salons make me nervous because previous hair stylists have ruined my hair before. I told her I only wanted my ends lightened something like a balayage. I showed her a couple pictures of what I was looking for. Instead she bleached my entire head and then toned it. She was scattered the whole time and wasn't very attentive while products sat in my hair. She ended up chemically frying my hair and it started falling out of my head. She HID it by covering it under a towel and never said a word. After I left chunks kept falling out. I had a family wedding the next weekend and the weekend after I had engagement photos scheduled for myself that I had to cancel and still pay a fee for. I texted her letting her know that my hair was literally falling out in chunks and all she could say is I have fragile hair and just throw some coconut oil on my hair.....extremely disappointed in the service I was given by her. I can't explain the amount i cried after going here. The management worked very well with me and cut my hair to help even it out and some treatments. I say still try this place out just a different stylist.

Would like to give them a rating, unfortunately, never heard back from them after an inquiry was sent using the link on their website! Saw all the other great reviews, but disappointed that not the same customer service is passed on to potential new clients.
