Designworks Salon and Spa in Dubuque, IA

I am visiting in the Dubuque area and was in desperate need of a haircut.  The first salon I called was booked, but they referred me to Designworks.  Fortunately, I was able to get in the same day.  Penny was my stylist.  I had very long, unruly hair, and wanted it about shoulder length.  I showed her pics of styles I liked.  Also, I asked her to do what she thought would look good.  She gave me an absolutely fabulous haircut!   I love it!  When I move to the area, Penny will be my go-to stylist.  I would give her 10 stars if I could!

I have to give Britney, Designworks Salon and Spa new massage therapist, a shout out.  She's one of THE BEST massage therapist I have ever had.  She has a multi-functional techniques that were customized for my specific needs.  Thanks Britney!!!

I I was visiting my son in Dubuque couple weeks ago and I made myself an appointment at DesignWorks for a pedicure. I have had quite a few pedicures in my time and this one was by far the worst. She whose name I can't remember I think I would remember it if I heard it but nevertheless she took the easy way out she had to miss soak my feet first and then she took a half a file and touched couple of my nails with it and then she took a big thing that she used on the bottom of my feet to remove calluses. I don't have calluses I have pretty soft feet however it doesn't matter because she really didn't do anything for very long. And then she dried each foot leg and began to give me a very soft massage on my legs and my feet not a very good one and way too long. I had already picked out the nail polish. So she proceeded to polish my nails. And then she was done. It cost me $49 plus a tip and I will never go back.I have thought about calling and letting the salon know that they're not getting their moneys worth and neither are their clients but I haven't done that yet. And I doubt that I will. I don't want anybody to lose their job but I do believe if you're going to do a Job you should try to do a good job. Sorry for the bad review I wish I could remember her name I might add that we were stuck way in the back of the salon and she was visiting with someone on the other side of a petition and mostly ignoring me

I love Designworks!  Jerica cuts my hair and it looks healthy and beautiful every time.  I've seen her colors too.  She's truly a hair artist.  She's friendly and makes you feel comfortable.  I love the pre scalp and neck massage.  It's a nice touch.  She waxes my eyebrows as well.  The cold stones applied to my eyebrows afterwards helps want redness. When you're service is done, she always touches up my makeup.  Love this place!!!

Bri'Anna Graves does my hair at Designworks. As a licensed cosmetologist myself, I understand the importance of professionalism, product knowledge, and thorough consultation with your guest in addition to skill. Bri'Anna demonstrates all of those qualities. I am a particularly difficult client at times and I change my mind a lot. Bri'Anna is always patient and willing to try my new ideas. I never feel like she's trying to "push" products in me just to get a sale. She knows what each product does, and gives good recommendations when I ask her opinion. She also does great pedicures. Every time I go to see her I leave smiling and feeling like a new person.
Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed if you give Bri'Anna Graves a try.
