They fixed and evened out my terrible faux hawk I got at a prior place and gave me the sexiest high fade to go with it. I left here feeling hot and confident as anyone should after getting their hair done. It's become a challenge to find salons/barbershops who feel comfortable taking clippers to a woman's hair but this place didn't even think twice & accepted me right away.
During everything with covid, my local hair salon in Imperial Beach was sadly closed down. None of the stylists work there anymore. I was so so thankful and lucky enough to be able to get in contact with one of the previous stylists, Karina, from my local hair salon through their business email. Miss Karina is now a new stylist at D Sexy Look and she does amazing work! I go in for root touch ups, but she recently had to fix my own touch up failure and she got my hair back to normal (,: Definitely going to be seeing her again!
Had an appointment for Friday, today, set since Monday. showed up early and Angelina has yet to show up. I called, texted. No answer nor reply. That is bad service, I do not recommend this hair salon. I doubt i'll get a call back or an apology for this inconvenience.
I spent $130 for low and high lights. It was a bit bright and red.. but when she put toner, the entire head turned green. She said as I washed it, it would get blonder, but it turned green.. low lights and high lights turned completely green. I asked for my money back to go somewhere else. She said no. She offered to fix it... too traumatized to try that. I spent another $250 to fix it. The other hair salon in Mission Hills said the only way it turns green, is when you put green. The only way to fix it was by putting red.. now I have poop color brown.. and light poop color... but it looks better than the dirty green. And my hair is fried.. will need to wait a couple of years to do high lights. Never go to this salon... go somewhere else.
I love Ale. She is so great at what she does. My daughters love her, and I took my mom for the first time and she was extremely pleased with Ale (and mom doesn't get pleased very often, she has a hard time explaining what she wants, but today Ale understood and did it). Thank you Ale.
