I have a lot to say about this place. I hate writing bad reviews because I know it is harmful to the business but I thought it over very thoroughly before doing so and I will not mention the name of the stylist. I went to Chandler's in Palm Springs for a haircut, really just a trim to even it out after cutting it myself during covid, which I told the stylist I just wanted it evened out. I was excited to go but l left in TEARS. Admittedly I am very protective of my thick mane of hair and rarely let anyone touch it. I moved from NYC where only 2 people in 25 years have cut my hair. The stylist at Chandler's who cut my hair certainly had an unusual method. She did not put it in clips to separate out sections, she just started in with the scissors, I thought it was strange but I nervously went with it. She was good at asking me what I wanted, but I did not want anything different than a clean up of my own hairstyle (which I get cut dry so she saw perfectly the style). I did request my hair be thinned a little in the back where it is very thick since it takes an hour to blowdry, she asked me if I had used a razor or scissors in the past - I said NEVER a razor it ruins your hair and only regular scissors have been used. Before I knew it she was hacking at my hair with thinning shears (not regular scissors), starting from the back where I could not see but I heard the ripping of my hair, when I looked down there was literally a pile of hair the size of a large bucket left on the floor. She started to kick the hair to the side and said "oh don't look at that" ! I was sick to my stomach and literally in tears. I had no hair left, all my gorgeous hair was gone. I asked for a rubber band because I was embarrassed to walk outside looking like that - of course there was no hair to even pull back. I went home and cried for hours. I did call the salon and eventually after a few calls I was refunded but I spent over $400 on clip in extensions that fell right out bc I had no hair left to connect them to. I had holes in my hair where you could see my scalp. This was seriously outrageous and so beyond unprofessional. I sincerely do not believe this person should be cutting hair. Unfortunately with a bad hair cut I cannot get it back or glue it on! I have to wait for probably 3-4 months minimum to look semi normal - praying it will grow back ok after being butchered. I have not had an experience like this since high school!! In defense of the salon (even though I was the one that had to reach out several times), William, who I believe is the manager or maybe the owner, did apologize profusely and also offered to put in clip in extensions or give me keratin treatment to smooth out the frizz. I was a little surprised because keratin would make me look like I had even less hair because it would be super flat and straight, as I mentioned I had already tried the clip in extensions to no avail at my own expense. As nice as William was there was nothing he could have done to fix the problem after the fact. I hope they will take this huge lesson and only hire people that understand hair and are truly properly trained professionals. This was a very expensive lesson to me emotionally and financially. I implore anyone that risks going there to be wise and ask a million questions before letting someone touch your hair if you care about it, because once it's gone it's GONE! I regret the day I walked into Chandler's Salon in Palm Springs. Consumer beware!! If you do go there ask for William first, I do feel he may understand hair better. He was not there the day I was scalped! : ( I am posting a picture of my hair BEFORE and AFTER so you can see the atrocity! Thousands of dry damaged strands all layered and terrible from a pair of antiquated thinning shears and the wrong stylist!! Ugh ! So sad

Edward was such a delight to work with. They took me in very last minute a blowout before Thanksgiving and I couldn't have been more pleased. The salon is absolutely stunning and staff was very friendly too. Would highly suggest!
