CAUSE Hair Salon in Dover, NH

Kristen is an absolute hair magician! Her knowledge, experience and creativity has made all my hair dreams come true! Kristen's  advanced skills and techniques give my hair (and confidence) that extra bit of dynamic pop and beauty every time. She's up for any challenge or crazy idea I come in with. If you're looking for someone who knows what they're doing, Kristen is your girl!! I might regret this review because I might have trouble getting in now BUT I cannot gatekeep her talents any longer!

I would never go to the salon, nor would I ever recommend it. I went in a few weeks ago and had a full set of foils done. I went over the contract with Kyla and she said she would not let me leave with brassiness or warm tones in my hair, so I signed it well, at the end we were getting ready and it was very brassy not good looking at all after just spending $239 without tip or product so I've been calling for over a week because she did a toner a few days after to take out the brassiness so the top of my hair looks like highlights and then halfway down. It looks like it's just dyed all one color so I just called and Michelle, which is the owner answered and was very rude  and try to talk over me and owner is that you should be listening to your clients but no argue and said I was not using the right shampoo and conditioner because she wanted me to buy theirs and I said nope. I've been using mine for a long time and I have no problems with that so first of all that was number one number to my old hairdresser. She's trying to say uses cheap color and bleach, which is not true because she's always got my hair down to almost white with bleach and I have dark hair so when I went back in and put a toner on which did not last again, just the top not the bottom and Kyla is the one that did it and she should. have fixed it for me. Either died at all one color or put low lights in it to get rid of this nasty brassiness it looks for what I paid. It should not look like this it's awful. It's so bad I have to wear my hair up in a clip because if not, you can see how brassy it really is and it's just so sad and sickening that a business, like this will not take care of you, so for everybody out there, please do not go to the salon try somewhere else for the amount of money that you spend you really don't get anything and then for the owner to be so rude and speak over you and say oh I can give you names of other salons that can probably help you honestly, why would I want her opinion after she just treated me like garbage and to say that about my old hairdresser. Who are you to say anything it's your hairdresser that can't do what she supposed to with my hair and then write down what she's not gonna do and then you're saying oh we have pictures I have pictures to of how bad it was I could've went to another place and spent at least $100 less such a waste of my money and the thing is I'm on disability so I don't get much money and for her to take that amount of money from me and not do anything about it is really sickening and I'm very upset so I hope this helped so people don't go to Cause. Do not trust them at all. Oh, and another note Kayla the hairdresser that did my hair also told me at the very end she's been fired from another salon before if I known that she would've never started on my hair who brings that up anyways at the end of your session when you just said how come, it's so brassy it shouldn't of been.

The owner actually told me off for asking if they made charitable donations of their wigs to Chemo patients who have lost their hair as I had; after all she DID name it Cause after her mom. So what "cause" are they supporting? Harassment, hair stylist gossiping in front of me, apparently we are all under video surveillance unbeknownst to you, the client. Go there is you want to be treated disrespectfully and receive poor customer service and a horrible set of hair extensions.

Heather Lightizer does THE MOST AMAZING job every time!! Added highlights and walk out of that salon feeling like a new woman every  time! Highly recommend Heather at Cause, she is the best of the best!!

I have been a happy customer of Cause for years. Beth's massages have helped my headaches tremendously and Tara always does a fantastic job with my hair & nails. I always look forward to my appointments, the salon is very clean & welcoming.
