My daughter and I came into Ulta beauty on 12/12/2022, and we were helped by Hunter. Hunter was very professional, and amazingly helpful!  My daughter and myself loved hunter!

Amal here is AMAZING. So energetic and happy. She helped me find the perfect product for me and you could tell she loved helping. Her smile is contagious. Would come back just for her

Lol my regular stylist was not available so I figured I would try something new and go to ULTA. Fancy place, fancy prices, right? But I reckon you get what you pay for so I book an online appointment and take a chance.

My hair was pretty long at that point, and I wanted it to be more manageable, lots of split ends. I show the stylist a picture of the style I like, tell her I am wavering between long and short. "Oh, so you don't know what you want," she says grimly. "Mmmm, that's not what I said," I reply, and from there on our chemistry just keeps going downhill.

About midway through the cut, she hands me a mirror and asks me how I like it. I tell her it's not quite there yet, that she should angle it more at the sides. She plays around with the scissors some more but no matter how much I emphasize that I want it angled, it still ends up looking hacked off across the back, just a clean straight line where I want it tapered. So I give up.

At this point, she's spent maybe 20 minutes on my hair and it still looks like crap. Then she hands me the invoice: $45. I take the invoice up to the front and wait another 15 minutes in line before a cashier is ready. She doesn't ask me if I liked my cut, she just asks if I want to leave the stylist a tip.

When I decline to leave a tip, the cashier just starts blinking her eyes. Baffled. She never asks me if I didn't like the cut, just stands there blinking in disbelief that I won't tip another $10 for a crappy haircut that already cost me $45.

A few days later I finally get hold of my regular stylist and tell her my woes. She offers to get me in that same day for an emergency repair job and of course it turns out perfectly. She charges me $30, I tip her $8 and leave feeling like a million bucks.

I will never get my hair cut at ULTA again, and if you're smart, you won't either. Horrible customer relations, sun-par stylists, snobby cashiers and long waiting lines.

Honestly I was excited at first. I wanted to get bangs and a little trim. My appointment was at 12:30. I didn't get seated til over an hour and a half later. The hair dresser didn't wanna talk or did anything I asked her to do. But somehow cut my bangs crooked, too short and nothing like the photo I showed her even though the cut took her 40 minutes to do?? Don't recommend and Ulta really needs better ppl...smh

I called ulta looking for one skin care product. The sales women, Marissa, was extremely helpful. She checked to see if it was in stock, kept it at the counter, and seemed genuinely glad to help us find the products we needed. She even said we could return the products if they didn't work for my skin. She didn't seem like she was trying to sell us other products or get us off the phone. Thank you Marissa, i didn't know shopping at ulta could be so easy.
