I wish zero stars was a choice. I had a terrible experience at the salon having my hair cut and highlighted. The stylist did not listen to me at all and gave me a terrible haircut and color. She also had recently moved to this salon at Ulta from another salon that I had an appointment with her. She said I could have the same time and day at the new place and that the prices were the same. It was twice as much!!! She lied, did an awful job on my hair and Ulta will not do anything about it. I could go back and have her try to fix it. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa!! Why would I go back to the person who did not listen to me in the first place and had lied to me???

Unbelievable customer service! I went into Ulta for the first time yesterday to get mascara because my usual supplier was out of my brand. I usually buy two at a time to save a trip. Found my brand and grabbed two, paid and left. Today, I reached into my sack and pulled out one of the boxes of mascara. It clearly was empty. No doubt a shoplifter slipped the mascara out, closed the box, put it back and went on her way. The other one was full. But, because I had grabbed two, I didn't notice the weight difference and that one was empty. Dang! So, I head back to Ulta. I walk in an talk to the first lady at the counter and tell her the story expecting her to say, "Go get a replacement. We're so sorry you had to make an extra trip!" Instead, she told me to get in the checkout line and the checker had the authority to take care of it. So, I wait in the line and the checker tells me she's really sorry but they've "checked their inventory and it's correct" (???) so they'll have to investigate and look at their camera footage and can I come back tomorrow? Are you kidding me? No, I can't come back tomorrow, I'm leaving on an international trip and are you saying that I would go to the work of fabricating this story? That will be the last purchase I make at Ulta! Buyer beware!!
I rarely go into Ulta. It just gives me a weird vibe like the snarky stuck up girls in high school. Last week I decided to run in for some L'Occitane hand cream. Sure enough here comes a bottle blonde with drawn on eye brows and stilettos. She asked what I was looking for. She said she had never heard of it but directed me to the drug store brands which it is not. I felt that because I was wearing jeans and snow boots she made a judgement and I didn't appreciate it. She walked by me later and asked if I found what I was looking for. I pointed and she said, "oh that's expensive". No one needs to deal with the crappy judges attitude right now. Next time I'll order from another store.
I've always loved ulta it's where I get all the makeup I use for clients, there have been a couple times that the customer service was very poor. At this point I will only order online. Going into the store was an unpleasent interaction. At first it was good, I rarely do need assistance, this was the rare case I had questions about some new products. The associate showed me them and was helpful, at first. I continued to shop around and started to notice she was following me around the store. When I would pick up a product she would stand on the same isle as me watching every product I looked at and giving me the dirtiest looks. I was extremely uncomfortable and left without making a purchase. I hope some communication is done with employees because I will not be returning, thank you!
