I've never had such a stressful and uncomfortable experience at a salon. Hassan was very rough, slapping my head and hair around. The hair washing was so fast and uncomfortable. He seemed to have his own opinion about what was best for me, without listening to me. I have curly hair and blowouts do not fit my hair type. It looked awful walking out, and I was in tears by the time I got to my car. Luckily it looks good when I style it myself with my natural curls. I would not return for another cut based on this experience.

The lack of scheduling coordination was appalling. I called to confirm twice for 2 facials, I was told they would be overlapping one at 11:30 and the other at noon. When we arrived, I was told we were 30 minutes late, and only one of us could be seen. The appointment confirmations did not include any date or time so I was unaware that they had scheduled the wrong time until showing up. They placed the blame entirely on us and were unwilling to accommodate us for their error.

If you have curly hair, Kelsey Adams is the person to see! She did a fantastic job of coloring and cutting my thick, curly, rat's nest of hair. For the first time in my life I left a salon feeling like I wanted to be seen in public, instead of having to run home and fix my hair. I will be coming back to her!

I've been coming to this salon for 7+ years and i have never experienced anything like i did today. i change my hair quite often from dark brown, highlights, or all over blonde. every time i have gone in, i've been told i have very healthy hair and that i take care of it well. (especially with the bleaching and dying) every now and then, i like to dye my hair with fun semi permanent colors. (they eventually wash out or you can bleach over it.) i have been dying my hair for a long time and have experience with hair care and how to care for colored hair. I just recently dyed my hair a lavender purple color and have been fading it out in hopes to go back to my natural brown hair. today i had an appointment with someone i had never met before. after looking at my hair for a few minutes, she expressed to me how dark hair wouldn't go well with my skin tone and that it would look "scary". (i have natural dark brown hair...) i politely asked her what she recommended that i do and asked if she could bleach over it. she then told me that she was not comfortable doing my hair and that it was too damaged and full of chemicals from bleaching and dying it? i hadn't bleached it in 5 months! the only product i've used is Arctic fox semi permanent dye and my hair is most certainly not damaged. she then proceeded to tell me that my hair wouldn't look as bad if i curled it, had makeup on, and look cute? i left the salon feeling very disappointed and offended at the service i received today.

The less one star is not reflecting on my stylist who is a miracle worker, but the wacky lights in the back being a salon review. I can never tell what my hair looks like until I actually leave due to the ancient fluorescent lighting.

Jill, aka miracle worker, has been doing my hair for a few years. I went through that spell of bad stylist after bad stylist (even in the trendy hipster salons of Portland) until I found her and haven't looked back. She has knocked every insane request of mine out of the park even if it took a booking or two to get there.

I've went from bronde to blonde, near white, then back to my current more natural highlighted light brown as seen in the attached picture, which I adore! She is upfront with expectations, affordably priced (girl... RAISE THOSE PRICES!), she is unreal at balayage/blended highlights and my cuts are always spot on.
