I took Ashley's PMU Ombré Powder & Microblading training class 08/26/21- 08/28/21. I reached out to her and spoke to her before I paid for this class to ask questions about the class and specifically ask about ongoing support which she stated she does provide as well as mentoring after you take her class. She sent me an invoice I paid the deposit and I didn't hear anything from her so I went by the school and she stated that she would email the itinerary 48 hours before the class starts. On the first day I was the only one in attendance therefore it ended up being a 1:1 class which was great for me bc the class and technique ended up being a lot more challenging than I anticipated. The first day of the class ended earlier then stated on the itinerary bc she had a client and a nail appointment. I was given homework to complete and bring back the next day. The next day which was Sunday she was 30 minutes late. I presented my homework to her and informed her that I was confused on mapping and asked her to show me the process again and I recorded the process on my phone she stated that she didn't allow it. I continued to record bc at this point I've paid you $2000 for this class and I also paid $40 for the bloodborne pathogen certification. I continued to practice as she observed at one point she said why are you not doing your strokes longer I'm not going to keep repeating myself. I didn't respond to her bc maybe this is her teaching style and I'm ok with constructive criticism, but she said it very rudely. Nevertheless, my model comes and she's observing me mapping and she stated to me why are you mapping on her forehead. You need to be in the brow area and she shook her head. I was already nervous about the process bc I didn't want to mess up my model brows. I did record some of the process as far as numbing and her shading my model. I did maybe 5 min of needle to skin on my model. At the end of the class Ashley asked me to do a video recording about the class and I did and I gave her a great review due to the fact that she's a black woman in business and I know the power of reviews and also the class ended up being a 1:1 class which I needed. She gave me my certification and offered me a 6 month shadowing opportunity and also stated that I could use her facility for $50 to do my PMU clients bc her school already has a tattoo license. I emailed Ashley twice about the shadowing opportunity that she offered. Ashley responded to the first email that was sent the next day after I took her class bc I also asked about the PMU consent forms that she said she emailed me but didn't. Ashley didn't address the shadowing opportunity at all. My second email was sent on 10/24/21 and this email was specifically about the shadowing opportunity Ashley responded on 11/01/21 stating she thought she responded and she has to look at her schedule to see if any clients have booked and to work with me and my client/models she charges $100. Also, before taking her class I informed her that I do lashes and Saturday's are my busiest days and that's the only day that she's available from 12-3 for me to bring in my PMU clients for her to assist me. I do not recommend taking this class because for one she lied about the shadowing opportunity and ongoing support. Ashley never reached out to me about the shadowing opportunity that she offered and I've never received any level of support from her. There was no professionalism in the way she communicated with me on the things I mentioned above you can be tactful when giving feedback & constructive criticism . The students success starts with the heart of a teacher I'm very disappointed and disheartened that you were not invested in my success it's very disengenous for me to come and learn from you and all you care about is the money. As an instructor you should make time for your students. Do not waste $2,000 on her class. I've learned more from IG, FB, YouTube and Clubhouse than I learned in her training. It's was a waste of $2,000. I feel like I was scammed.

I loved Ashley. I decided to go with Beauty Kulture for trying for fibroblast and I'm soooooo happy I did! Ashley is professional, organized, and most importantly, very informative! I've been to several other training classes and her trainings by far are the best. Besides just enjoying her as a person, I learned so much and will be back to her for training on microblading!
