Baja Beach Tanning Club in Reading, PA

If you are not part of the tanning cult and just want a little color to start the season, don't bother! the only option they have is to pay a membership fee ($39 to join) and then choose a monthly payment option starting at $39. The staff certainly does not give you much information and they are more involved in their personal conversations than they are educating the customer. With that said, I ended up paying over $80 for 4 visits and when I called to cancel, they inform me I had to do it in person although I was able to register and pay online... Unfortunately in Berks County they have a corner on the market so if you want to tan, you are at their mercy.

Being new to this and a bit nervous the staff and atmosphere removed my worries. Very helpful and informative. Spotless clean and fun. I'm hooked

Poor communication skills. In my experience, they seemed to forget I was a customer. I needed assistance from them pertaining to an error they made but were not willing to assist me with. The end result was a very nasty staff member telling me it was my error. I had to cancel my credit card and file a claim with my bank. Definitely not worth the headache. I would much rather donate the money to them for customer service lessons ...

Very bad, unprofessional service of a business that I have frequented for the last approx. ten years. Baja Beach tanning club has recently changed ownership. With the new ownership comes lack of communication, lack of respect, and lack of professionalism. This tanning salon collects your bank card information and then fails to do a submission of the Electronic funds transfer. Baja Tanning then tells the customer that the customer is delinquent in paying and refuses to give you service . Sounds like a scam to me in order to gain late fees inappropriately and still have your financial debit card within reach for anyone at the business to gain access to. You would think the manager would try to provide the customer with better customer service.? Instead the manager is rude, indignant, and not accountable to the problem. My advice , find a legitimate tanning salon!

I haven't tanned for years but wanted a good base before my wedding in Miami. Everyone at Baja Beach was exceptionally friendly. I grew particularly enamored by the sweet staff at the 5th Ave location, though the Perkiomen and Penn Ave locations also boasted sweet staff. The staff were knowledgeable about their products.
