Attilio's Salon & Spa in Buffalo, NY

This review is long, long overdue. I have been getting my hair done at Attilio's for years and years (at least five years) and have never been disappointed. I love Attilio's so much that even though I've lived in Los Angeles, California for the last three years, I still fly home to get my hair done at this salon. Granted I stopped getting highlights in my hair during grad school, I try to maintain a healthy head of hair in terms of split ends, etc. and Doreen, the owner and master stylist, is a magician when it comes to hair (and who knows what else!!). Even if I was still getting highlights, the prices at Attilio's are more than reasonable. You don't technically need an appointment (there's typically a sign in the window that says 'walk ins welcome,') but it wouldn't hurt to call ahead! While there are what seems like hundreds of salons in the Village of Kenmore, make sure you check out Attilio's - you won't be disappointed!

Doreen is amazing. She has a great personality, is fun to talk to, and most importantly, makes my hair look great! I truly trust her with my hair, which is a great feeling to have.

I love this place so much! I come for the spa packages! For what you can't you really can't beat the price. First the hot rock massage...HEAVEN!!! The gentleman that does it, really listens and ask where you need the most attention too. Best 30 minutes of my life. The facial was great as well. Super relaxing, they make your face feel so nice and smooth. Even though it's just the facial they still rub your shoulders and massage your head. After that it's the pedicure and manicure portion. Loved them both. Got gel for my fingers and toes and it was done perfectly. The woman who took care of me was so relatable and offered great customer service. This has to become an every other month routine for me! They have a lifetime customer now!!

I think that Doreen is absolutely excellent at what she does. She is very nice, a good conversationalist, and most importantly, fantastic at making hair beautiful. I thought the atmosphere was pleasant; nice lighting, not too bright, water, coffee, and cappuccino offered, peaceful, and the employees are friendly and gentle. I had a great experience there and I do not want to come off as super picky/overly demanding by what I'm about to say. While I was thrilled with the final product, I almost left after waiting an hour (after my original appointment time) for service. Perhaps it was because I made an appointment the day of? Regardless, if they couldn't really keep the time that they told me due to being overbooked, I think they should have just told me. I don't want to make less of the fabulous job done on my hair, but I do think that being prompt (or at least no more than 20 mins. late) is not considerate.

After going there for 7 months I would not patronize them again. Gary(the receptionist who says he owns it) was very rude to me and an wouldn't let me in for my scheduled appt. He heard me talking to a lady outside about a parking spot and then got in my face about it. He wouldn't give me change for the parking meter to get my $21 haircut by 1 of the stylists. Furthermore he called the police on me for trashtalking him in response to his very rude comments to me a, disabled man just wanting my hair trimmed. Imagine getting a trespass warning for asking for 4 quarters for a dollar bill. Go find another place, he doesn't deserve your business.
