Anie Beauty Salon in Lowell, MA

I go here often to get my hair cut and usually have a great experience. However, today I asked for a shoulder length haircut and showed photos but received an extremely short hair cut (2 inches above my shoulder). I am very sad as it was nothing like the pictures I showed. I will probably not be returning here.

This salon is run by three sisters who share the passion and talent for making people look their very best. I came across Anie while searching for a salon for my septuagenarian mother who wanted to support Cambodian-American small businesses - so no Super Cuts or Great Clips for her. While my mother got her haircut, I was watching two of the sisters work miracles on a couple of pageant contestants getting glammed. Since my mother was a walk-in, we hung around a bit until someone had an opening so I got to watch the transformations from start to finish - hair, make-up, jewelry, everything. I knew that they would be the beauty team to hire for any special event. That was a couple of years ago and I now am tasked to find the beauty team for my friend's wedding in Middleton. It has been a challenge to find the right artist willing to travel to this part of Massachusetts. Since we are such a digital society and rely so much on an artists' digital presence and reputation, my friend was skeptical about going with an unknown group. The salon sisters are artists who take their work very seriously and never thought about recording or capitalizing on their work. They have no website, no instagram, no Facebook page. It took a bit to convince my friend this place does not need to advertise. Their customers are loyal and their days are so busy they carefully stagger all their appointments to optimize their time while delivering great work. Reluctantly, my friend agreed to visit the salon on a Saturday and dropped in for a trial (I don't recommend this. We were lucky they made time, but better to call and set an appointment!). We completed a trial bridal up-do and couldn't be more happy with the results. We left completely confident that they will deliver on the special day. This is a gem of a salon.

Anie, did an amazing job. I had blondes highlight done. She's friendly. Highly suggest anyone to get their hair done here. She gets it right the first time. Diffently coming back.

I've been here three times already. I actually really like it. They treat repeat customers especially well. The owner (I've had twice) cuts quite a lot, combo of scissors and razor blade. Be careful to really emphasize a trim if you don't want more than that. There's a tall woman who cut my hair once that I wish I got her name, because she did a great job. In general, everyone here has been great! Would definitely go back.
