Amore Nail Salon in Odenton, MD

Wife had to go back and get her nails fixed, pedicure was great but techs seem somewhat inexperienced. Prices are somewhat higher then the rest of the area.

this was my third time to this location. the first time the nail tech was great. she reshaped my nails to what i wanted them to be. the polish was perfect and not one single nail broke in the 3-4 week period i go between fill ins. the second time i went for pedicures w my mother and step daughter. we all had a great experience and my nail polish is holding strong still from it. now this time being my third time, i went to have my acrylics removed (done at a previous salon, one broke off- was due for fill but decided to just get removed) and wanted a gel manicure in place to give my nails a breather. i am a licensed cosmetologist so i know the basics with nails, i just don't do them myself because i enjoy the salon experience. however, this visit was the most least enjoyable one out of my 3, and anywhere for that matter. the lady sat down with me, started to take off my nails or rather rip them off. then started to ask me what color i wanted and what i wanted. so she's still ripping them apart & stops to suggest dip powder. i politely decline saying i didn't want any type of acrylic which essentially dip powder is. and that would require to be soaked and filed off. i said i just wanted gel. she then went back to doing what she was doing. and then made a comment again and telling me gel wouldn't last on my nails and she suggested dip. i said no thank you if you don't want to polish them then don't worry about polish and just remove the acrylics. and at this point she only had one hand done, she got up walked away, helped someone at the front, understandable. but then she started walking around which seemed like she was trying to avoid finishing the service on me. in all honesty if she wanted someone else to finish or tell me she couldn't finish i wouldn't have minded because at that point i was furious and irritated enough, i would've paid whatever for her doing what she did and gone elsware. but she came back and started to work on my other hand. she tried yo switch up conversations about the weather, which i get in a tense situation i understand. but she didn't even file or cut down my nails to match. a first grader could've done a better job. i should've just told her no polish and i would've gone elsware but i am on a time crunch and needed them done so i had to do what i had to do. $45 later and feeling super rushed and defeated. after reading other reviews on here i would've questioned coming here but i drove 20 mins away to come here bc of the last 2 great times. but i'll rethink that the next time. this lady was sitting on the left side when you walk in right behind the desk. we all have bad days, but do better. would give 0 stars if i could.

I will NEVER go back to this nail salon. The staff at Amore Nail Spa are inconsiderate, unprofessional, and they treated me like a thief. As a mother of 4 boys, I rarely get a moment to myself, so I reserved a babysitter to do a little self care. With the limited time I had, I decided to get a pedicure at my local nail salon. I arrived at Amore Nail Spa at 1:30 pm, with a little over an hour to spare before I had to get back home. When I arrived, I asked how long would it be for a pedicure and they sat me down right away. There was another young lady who said she had been waiting for awhile for a manicure. They had me waiting and soaking my feet for a good 45 mins before two separate nail techs started with my pedicure (the first was pulled away to work on someone else). I kept asking them if it would take long and they kept telling me to wait 2 mins. I shared that I had to return home and if it would take long, I could come back another day. They assured me that I would be seen soon. When they finally got to me, I shared that although I came in for a gel pedicure, given the long wait, I could only get the pedicure without any nail color. My requests were ignored. As they started the gel pedicure, I asked them to stop the service because I needed to get home. While I was walking to the front to make the payment for the services I received, the nail tech followed close behind me as if I was going to make a run for it. I asked how much I owed, and she quoted $35. When I asked her what was I paying for exactly, she told me it was for the pedicure and color. I expressed that I'm not paying for color because I didn't get the color, then she quoted $30. I asked if they accepted Zelle payments and sent the payment. As I was walking out the door, they asked if I could wait so they can get confirmation that the payment was sent. I showed them the Zelle confirmation on my phone and asked if they received it, they said yes so I started to leave again. Somehow my leaving was an issue because they asked me to wait again. At this point, I'm in a rush and frustrated, so I unfortunately had to raise my voice to ask if they received the Zelle payment - the woman said yes, so I left. As I was walking to my car, there was a man running behind me and approached me at my car, asking me again if I sent the payment--- I felt singled out!! I told him I sent the payment through Zelle, showed him the payment confirmation, and asked him to leave me alone. He then asked if I sent the money through Apple Pay. Did he not hear me?? I clarified once again it was sent through Zelle. This business is more concerned about money than quality customer service. They singled me out and treated me like a thief after I showed them multiple times that the payment was sent. The way they treated me, I will NEVER go back - the long waits, the unprofessionalism, the mistreatment - it's not worth the limited time I have for self care. I hope anyone looking to visit this nail salon would reconsider.

The people are so sweet and welcoming. The place is clean and has so many options. I changed my mind 3x and never did they make rude comments nor were they irritated, they worked with me and my nails came out great. I will be seeing them again in 3 weeks!

Worst experience I had to literally ask her to fix my nails multiple times until I finally told her to take them off! I'm tired of booking here and then not being consistent with appointment times!! Wasted 4 hours of my evening to literally be disappointed! Tired of salons making people feel like they are in the wrong for speaking up no ma'am I am paying my money and deserve the experience that I am paying for. I normally don't complain but I think normalizing speaking up is needed!
