If you're looking for a welcoming environment THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. I was looking to get something new done to my natural hair and scheduled an appointment online. When I called to ask her preference on how my hair should be for my appointment she was very cold. She answered the phone like she didn't want to be at work, or like she was irritated that I called. Then when I called the next day because I wanted a silk press instead of relaxer (I chickened out of the chemicals) she turned very rude because I changed my mind. As soon as I said hello and my name she let out a long sigh...She proceeded scold me, then CANCELED MY APPOINTMENT. When she canceled on the phone she said I'd get my deposit back, then texted 5 minutes later REFUSING to refund my deposit. Truly an ugly personality over the phone, I don't care how good the pictures are. I feel like a professional should want to go above and beyond for their customers no matter how annoying customers can be, or how bad your day is going personally. especially since I was looking for a new stylist to frequent and give my to. Oh well ‍

I called to make an appointment, and the person that answered hung up on me. I called again, thinking that I had dialed a wrong number, and got the owner's voicemail. I left a message and then went to the website to make an appointment. Thus far, I have yet to receive a reply. I guess that this business has enough customers that they don't need to respond to potentially new clients. So, after reading the other comments, I am inclined to agree with their assessment of rude attitudes and a general lack of concern regarding their behavior/reputation. Shame.

Shonna is great at doing hair and has a smile on her face all the time. She is always professional, her space is clean and well kept and what I like the most is that she doesn't have more than 2-3 people at a time. One of the most aggravating things about black salons is having a stylist that's overbooked so you're left sitting under a hot dryer for an hour. She is quick and respects your time. Her pricing is very straightforward and reasonable. I'm a repeat customer and will continue to go back. Oh and sometimes she's available on short notice. I think she works with all hair types. I've seen her with natural and relaxed hair and have been more than satisfied every time.

If you're like me....you don't just allow anyone to put their hands in your hair. Ms. Shonna is very professional,timely and friendly. She did an excellent job on my hair which is in a transition stage from short to long and perm to "natural". She gave me great recommendations on how to manage my hair and keep it healthy. I am so very glad I found her.

I just moved to the area and was looking for a hair stylist. I called to speak to someone and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude to me. The first thing she said was "take me off your call list...." then when I went on to ask about hair she was very rude and simply told me she didn't do a certain service and hung up on me.
