5 stars barber shop & Salon in Bakersfield, CA

I was looking for a barber shop on the fly cus the usual place I take my son was about an hour wait. I was crunched for time and searching for places near me. I called a few numbers either VM or they couldn't do it, luckily I rang 5-Stars and the gentleman said he had barbers available. I was greeted by Dinora who was absolutely wonderful with taking care of my son's hair cut. She engaged with my 3 yr old son Raymond throughout the whole cut. I had let her know his prior experiences were not too well as he gets scared like most kids do with the machine. She deff made Raymond feel comfortable and he enjoyed getting the hair cut. I will most definitely be back. It was also nice to get a compliment from another barber about how well behaved my son was. I highly recommend this barbershop.

I love this place. Carlos is my go to guy. He does a fantastic job of trimming my beard. He makes me look really good and I get compliments on it all the time. The other barbers there are super friendly and always say hi. Definitely worth a visit.

I came in thinking to get a good hair cut hint with the name being 5 start barber right and I walked out with a bald fade and my hair in the back is very choppy just a overall bad haircut he didn't do nothing what I said and instead did what he wanted I asked for a slick back with a fade on the side and he did a 0 fade without even asking if he should start higher than go shorter I am very disappointed with the haircut I could of got a 12$ haircut that is 10x better then his 25$ haircut

owner Very rude and has no patience for kids. My son has gotten haircuts since he was 6 months old and is now 2. He does great for his age and blamed him for moving and crying when it was not true. He just saw he was a kid and was hesitant on taking him and kept asking me if he sits still and how old he was, basically discriminating. he did his hair all lazy and didnt do what we asked him to because he "was moving too much" mind you all the barbers hes gotten his hair done with before are all patient with him and are surprised how good he is regardless of his age. He is used to it since we take him every 2 weeks since he was young. He is rudee and do not recommend. He claims he told me he had an appointment before us but never once greeted us and we waited 45 mins. He could of told us from the moment we came in that he had appointments and couldnt take us. he waited till the end and i told him we have been waiting long. he says we should appreciate he took us.very unprofessional and likes to justify every review he can not take any criticism he gets upset and replies to all bad reviews and doesn't apologize. He likes to argue back and say we are lying. Look at google or yelp for his replies and you will see how shitty owner he is
