After talking this through with multiple people, they've all agreed that what happened was unprofessional. I thought I'd warn other customers of some setbacks you might face trying to book a service here. I was a first time client trying to book a new service and scheduled a consultation with one of the stylists in person. The day of my consultation they called me and said it would be easier to do it over the phone/email. That was no problem for me, so I agreed. Although, it should have been a red flag that they didn't even want to put in the effort to see me in person. I emailed photos of my current hair and what I want. Received no response though email but was told on the phone I was booked. However, my appointment was booked pretty far out. They booked me around 3 weeks out. I had no problem with this, and waited a couple weeks for my appointment in the afternoon. Mind you, they also collected a deposit for half of the visit cost the week of the appointment. Comes my appointment day I receive a call 10-20 minutes before my appointment at 2:45 in the afternoon. Suddenly my stylist is sick and I need to rebook. I understand things happen, but if this stylist was sick did it come on suddenly 10 minutes before my appointment? Was she sick in the AM? I'm just speculating but having a hard time understanding why they didn't at least call me in the morning to let me know. They called 10 minutes before my appointment, meanwhile still holding onto my deposit for the price of half the visit. Told me the stylist I want is too far booked out and tried to book me with someone completely different for another 2 weeks out. This has been such a waste of time and energy when I could have seen another stylist somewhere else by now. It seemed like the entire process they had no intention of keeping my appointment. I should have known at the initial consultation that things were going to go awry. Once again, I get that people get sick and things happen. My problem is that I was cancelled with such late notice while they were holding onto my deposit. And if the stylist was sick, was she sick seeing clients in the AM or did she fail to let clients know earlier in the day? Regardless of the situation, the way it was handled was poorly. And the fact that there was no customer resolution. No attempt to get me in any sooner. No attempt to honor my appointment. No attempt to move things around to make this right. It felt like since I was a new client I was bearing the brunt of whatever happened and no one made at attempt to make things right. I put a deposit because I honor my commitment and appointment time, I wish they did the same in return.

I love that 1630 asked me to email my current hair and desired hair photos prior to the appointment so they can determine what needs to be done and the necessary time frame. Christine was my stylist and gave me what I wanted and made it even more beautiful than I could have imagined. I love the way it turned out Thank you so much!
