Art is an amazing human!! Incredibly talented and just overall a great person to spend an afternoon with while he works his magic on your hair! I came in with a disappointing haircut and drab brown box dye and told him I was ready to go blonde. He easily lifted my box dye and gave me an incredible shade of blonde and the haircut I originally wanted! Definitely recommend!!
This review is 27 years in the making. Art started cutting my hair when I was 20 and I am now 47! I've watched him grow from an up-and-coming stylist in Los Feliz to a successful salon owner in Hollywood. I've had waist length hair, mid-back, shoulder length, bob, bangs, etc. I've had highlights, lowlights, raw hair, etc. Over the past year, I've tried short hair. Throughout it all, Art has been kind, considerate, and a superb stylist. He really listens to what you want with your hair and makes it happen. On Wednesday, I showed him a photo and said, "I want Meg Ryan's cut in the movie, Proof of Life. Can you do it?" He did! It turned out so cute: flippy, fun, and perfectly touchable. I think it is my favorite cut from the past 27 years! Art takes care of each client and can run behind in his appointments occasionally (try to book the first appointment or two of the day to avoid this). Bottom Line: Really awesome cuts that last for months! I'm looking forward to another 27 years of haircuts. :)
I highly recommend this place! I made an appointment for a balayage and cut and was seen promptly. He worked meticulously and with great attention to detail. I did not realize I had color leftover from a dye job two years ago, but he was patient and took the time to even out the coloring at no additional cost. He was very friendly throughout the whole session and even walked me back to my car because it was after dark. Art and his studio has been a fixture in the neighborhood for the past 20 years, and I am happy to support one of the small businesses in the area that have been heavily affected by the pandemic. I will definitely be coming again.
