Vu Bistro in Fountain Hills, AZ

Best view in the valley and the food is great and drinks even better. Don't believe the bad reviews as some people are trying to cancel them for there political views as they have had a few good get togethers with people actually fighting for the people

Amazing location. Might be the worst customer service you experience. The waits are very long and you are downgraded seemingly if you don't order drinks. The burger was ok. Not bad, not great.

I was very excited to visit Vu Bistro after watching the Netflix show. I was excited about the Southwestern flair menu, and the magnificent view. First I was confused by a consignment shop in the first half of the building. We even asked if we came in the wrong door. Heidi the owner lead us around and through the bar to show up the 'back room'. The back room was dark with a dark chandeliers, we were handed a single menu with a single wine/beer menu. (5 to our party) It was several minutes to get menus, several more to order drinks; offered other libations from the bar only to told they were out of what was offered. Our food was minimal considering the prices. Bison nachos should have pieces of bison you can see. Trout should be cooked and tender, but was tough and wet, pizza was cardboard-ish. The chicken Ceaser salad was decent. Overall I was disappointed. Service was slow and a bit sarcastic. Food was overpriced and mostly not impressive. The decor seemed like even after all the 'expert' advice, most was ignored from menu to decor. The best features of the restaurant was the dining deck- which has no patio heaters, so we couldn't even enjoy.

Service was awful. We were seated way in the back. They dropped off the menus and then the server disappeared for 20 minutes. 20 minutes! By the time he came back, he took our drink order. Made some comment about serving Fireball shots. We said "sure, we will take a fireball shot". Then he said we should go somewhere else because they were out of Fireball. Who offers something they don't have? Next we ordered our dinner. It was very pricey, and mediocre. The pizza tasted like it was frozen, cooked from a box. The Trout was over-cooked and dry. The risotto was extremely salty. Refills were a joke. The server dropped off the food and disappeared. We literally never saw him till we were leaving. They really need to get it together. The location is fantastic. But the employees have a strange sense of humor, & are lazy. We will not be returning to this place again! Especially for almost $200. For $200, I expect superb food and service!!

We drove down to a very secluded parking lot, which gave it a little bit of mystery. we sat down at a beautiful table outside that had an amazing view overlooking Arizona. Nothing to disrupt our view because we were kinda in a ravine, which hid outside activity from humans. As the sun went down, we enjoyed a magnificent sunset with the light in the distance of Arizona. The food was as if you were in one of the best restaurants in Beverly Hills, California, Those that cared for our table made feel like family, I guess that could be good or bad, but they were actually great. Experience that we shall not forget for a long time or until we do it again.
