The Beauty Co Salon and Blow dry Bar in Baltimore, MD

I bought a groupon for this place a few months ago for a cut, balayage, and blowdry. Kimya was very sweet and conversational, and I tried very hard to like the finished product but I was left with way more to fix than what I paid for. My hair turned out brassy, orange, and streaky with multiple areas in my hair poorly blended in. I could see stark contrasts from where my hair was colored by her. The lighting in the salon made it look OK and so I left hoping it would clear throughout the days but instead the brassiness and orange tones just got worse. It was not a balayage at all, not anything close to what I asked for. I have never had my hair look so brassy by any other stylist and although she offered me to come in to fix it, trying to schedule a return appointment was impossible. I had to send her multiple texts for her to respond to me to confirm appointment times because she continuously told me "she'd let me know." She surely let me know, but on the day of she texted me 1-2 hours before her suggested availability that day. As someone that works, it was impossible for me to accommodate to her schedule on such a short notice. I ended up going elsewhere to fix this disaster and ended up paying twice as much to finally have my hair the way it shouldve been in the first place. Lesson learned to read prior reviews and Ill be way more cautious in purchasing a groupon next time.

Kimya is an amazing stylist. She is prompt, and professional. This was my second time going to her salon and each time I come out feeling more beautiful. Today she installed a weave with a closure and added highlights when I didn't like the color of the hair I purchased. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Great location. Free parking on Fridays and overall excellent customer service. Finding a great stylist is like finding a rose in a bed of weeds. I will definitely be back...

I came in for a cut, baylayage and blow dry because I purchased a groupon. The cut was fine, however the "baylayage" was not. To begin, baylayage usually takes at least 2 hours, this one took 90 mins INCLUDING the hair cut. the next problem was the stylist did not use any foils nor did she use a toner at the end of the procedure. at the end when she gave me the mirror to look at the back of my hair it looked fine, but as soon as I got in my car I noticed problems. I noticed chunky/ streaky yellow pieces of hair all around my face/ roots. there appeared to be blotches of blonde all over, rather than being blended in and the blonde was an orangey/ yellow color all over, there appeared to be no highlights or low lights just one color all over pretty much. very disappointed. I had to go to another salon and spend over $200 to fix this mess, where they had to put a root color on me because the blonde from the original procedure was basically at my root. Best of luck to the ladies running the salon.

I haven't been to a salon in years! I was looking for a protective style for the summer and I noticed how beautiful Kimya's pictures were. So I took s leap of faith and contacted Kimya about doing a sew in. She assisted me with making sure I purchased quality hair. When I got to the salon, which was adorable, Kimya walked me through the entire process!! She was so patient with explaining what she was going to do and how to maintain it! I was there for less than 4 hours and I wasn't her only customer!! I absolutely love my hair! It looks and feels so natural. I am happy to have found a stylist that I can trust to take care of my hair. Can't wait to go back!

Okay... hmm. So my experience was absolutely amazing. Kimya was my stylist and she took absolutely wonderful care of my hair. I was tryin to get my hair styled for my 1st baby shower and it was really important for me to be photo ready. She did just that. I was very pleased with my hair and I am already scheduled to go back next week. I tried to post a pic but I'll do so again when I get it done with her next week. I was late too and she still treated me nice and took absolute care of me :) The salon is cute too lol.
