Best salon experience with my son ever! My son is four years old and has autism, the stylist was so patient and so sweet my son wasn't afraid to cut his hair. He's always been scared of the clippers, so she only used scissors, which made him very happy. His hair came out great! He didn't struggle or cry, and he got a lollipop after. I highly recommend.

This place was a godsend. It took a little phone tag to get an appointment, but we did.

My daughter is almost 4. Autistic. HATES being touched on her head or face. Her hair had gotten so long and unwieldy. Tangles, in her eyes, everything.

We came on a Friday afternoon and Tamara did her best to make our little one comfortable. Let her run around, ran around with her, talked with us about what we wanted to do with her hair, and asked lots and lots of questions.

She was incredibly patient with our daughter. There was a lot of crying, a lot of shifting in the chair, and a lot of us holding her still as best we could. Tamara was so gentle with her, took lots of breaks, and ultimately we got her hair done in about 30 minutes, and it looks great! And our little one played around again in the shop for another 5-10 minutes or so to cool down. And she was happy as can be.

Haircuts and other things like them are basic stuff that we do everyday, yet for those who have difficulties with sensory processing or receptive language, they can be incredibly stressful. Thairapy hair salon did its best to make it a stress-free experience for us, and we will keep coming back!

How does anyone get an appointment? I WANT to go here! I have been calling for two weeks, no one answers, it rings forever and then the voicemail box is full. I tried the Contact email on the website, but no reply. Are they open?

Amy is the best! My son has an ASD diagnosis and has been getting his haircut from Amy for approximately 5 years. She is patient, kind, and professional. My son's hair always looks great and sometimes he is moving target....she is truly gifted!

Amy is amazing. I have been taking my son to Thairapy since he was about a year and a half and he is now 7. The only times I have ever gone to anyone else was if we were in a bind and needed something immediately--and I have always regrettably done so.

Amy is a special soul and is great with any and everyone; her purpose is genuine. I have seen her work magic on the wiggliest  of kiddos--and their hair comes out beautifully. She also always delivered on my crazy haircut requests, from mullets, to bowl cuts, feauhawks, Mohawks and ducktails--my son has had it all.  Amy, we are lifers and I hope you will still  be cutting  Kavi's hair into adulthood, playing video games and leaving with a lollipop in hand.
