After getting my hair done at more expensive West Hartford salons over the past year, I have tried SJ Hair Studio and have found my go-to hair stylist. On multiple occasions she has been available to fit me in on short notice and makes my hair gorgeous every time at a very reasonable price! Thank you! I will come here for years to come.
PLEASE DON'T GO HERE! You will regret it! I honestly never had a worse experience getting my hair done. I did my research and read reviews. I chose this place (Worse mistake) I just needed a hi light retouch and ended up with orange & canary yellow hair that's falling out. I messaged the owner and she tried to put the outcome back on me. I'm not the hairstylist. Said she could tone it but no guarantee it'll take the warmth out. I trusted her to do her job correctly. I spent 3 hours of my time & paid $270 for her to blame me on how she made my hair Orange and yellow. I showed her numerous pics of my own hair (COOL TONE) my skin is cool tone, any good hairdresser can see that! I have zero warmth about me. So to turn my hair a warm hot mess washed me right out. She talked me into a base break (never heard of it) only suppose to lighten my natural hair one shade. I thought Uhm ok. One shade not a big deal. Nope, it turned my hair orange so then she decided to hi light over that. The end result = A canary orange, hair falling out, blonde, frizzy, destroyed mess! I've been getting my hair hi lighted for years. Worse job I ever had. Wishing I could turn back time and never of stepped in that door. Been crying ever since. Owner was so rude about ruining it and more rude about fixing it that I can't trust her to touch it again. I didn't ask for a refund, just for her to fix it. After much thought, I couldn't possibly go back to her and wished I got a refund because now I have to pay someone else to fix her mess! So disgusted! Poor experience all around!
