Shear Images in Chatham, NY

So Shannon has been attending to my hair for 10+ years. Here's why: anyone in that business can make your hair look good as you walk out of the shop. Shannon's cuts are so skillful, careful (she goes around and around your head) and thorough, your hair looks good when you walk INTO the shop for your appointment 5 or 6 weeks later. That's how you know. She also advised transitioning from coloring and knew how to make the process look good. Not to mention she will work with you to find convenient appointments or fit you in on short notice, if at all possible. All in all, a really nice person with a great sense of humor who is really good at what she does.

I've been going to shear images and seeing Hannah for a little over a year now. My hair has never felt so great and been so healthy. The salon is adorable and very clean and the environment is very welcoming and fun to be in. I highly recommend shear images. I will never go anywhere else!

I have been a happy customer of Shear Images for at least 5 years. Katie Lee does my hair; she's excellent, as are Madeline and Shannon. The atmosphere is always cheerful and relaxed. Their new salon is beautiful and now includes facials and massage. I like to do a spa day - first a facial with Amber and then a hair-do with Katie.

Going to a new salon is always a little nerve racking.... but at Shear Images you know you are in good hands from the moment you walk in the door. Everyone is warm and welcoming and treats you like part of the family. Shannon listened to everything I wanted (and didn't want!), took her time, asked all the right questions and kept me involved in the whole process. I could not be happier with the results and will definitely be making this "my salon"! And making appointments could not be easier because you can use the appointment function right in the Yelp app. But one of the best and most unique features I found in this full service salon was the chair at the sink where you get your hair washed raises your feet up, so you are fully reclined and relaxed while you get your hair washed. No more neck cramps! I loved it!

I needed a haircut and dye applied, as my arm was in a sling. The staff was very accomodating and pleasant. The haircut and hair dye came out great, and even if I didnt feel my best I did look good!
