Salon Eleven in Suffern, NY

Salon Eleven is one of the best salons in the area. The stylists take their time to make each client walk away feeling better about themselves than they did before they walked in. Rick is a true artist who is a hidden gem in the Hudson Valley, he brings NYC level talent to this area. Nicole and Rick instinctively know what their clients need, and Nicole is always willing to make accommodations for her customers! The whole team at Salon Eleven create a really cool laid back vibe that makes it easy to sit in a chair for an hour.

I went to get a Brazilian blow out at this salon to support a local business. I was told they didn't want to do it. So, the next day I went to a more fancy hair salon in Montvale, NJ, and I had a so much better experience. The difference in how I was treated was significant. I will never go to a hair salon in Suffern!!!

I started going to this shop six to eight months ago just for color. At a certain point, I realized that my hair was so fragile I should revert to my previous practice of using 10 volume peroxide rather than 20 to protect my hair from further damage. Nicole, the owner, argued against it, said that with her color it wouldn't work. I went to the beauty supply store, consulted with the owner, who assured me it would work with Clairol as it had in the past. I bought the color, and Astrid, the stylist at Salon 11, used it, and, if course, it worked. But she didn't seem too happy about it. I told Nicole it might be better if I went somewhere else; she said, "Are you kidding; we love you!" Yes, I'm a great tipper! Then, two weeks ago I made an appointment with Astrid for that Saturday at 2:00 tho' snow was due. Since I live only 2 blocks away, I wasn't concerned about the weather. I got there with two minutes to spare, almost tripped 3 times on the stairs to the entrance. I, a senior citizen, made it but Astrid, a young woman, never did. Nor did she call to cancel. Nor did she apologize when I called Nicole to protest against their rudeness and lack of professionalism. No, the word "sorry" was never uttered. Nicole, THE OWNER, said, "Well, I wasn't there!" As luck would have it, a policeman passing by saw me struggling with the stairs, determined that I was okay and followed me home. So, in one brief period, I made a trip from the nadir of human interaction to the zenith of human kindness.

My experience at salon eleven today was beyond amazing! The minute I walked in the door, I was greeted warmly and immediately offered a beverage. Went for eyebrows and mani/pedi. Everyone was so friendly and professional, the salon itself was beautiful...clean, organized and accommodating. I will defintely be back! Haven't been this happy with eyebrows in YEARS!!! Mani/pedi was absolutely top notch and Lily, was fantastic! Can't say enough amazing things! Truly no words!!!
